Sabina Mwathi M’mucheke aka Kaake

1936 – 2021

With the humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the demise of Sabina Mwathi M’mucheke, aka Kaake, who entered rest on Monday, 11th January 2021 at Kenyatta National Hospital following a long terminal illness.

Born and raised in Meru County, she was the daughter of the late M’nkaara Nkarara and Ciamirio M’nkaara of Kiromwathi Village in Meru County.

She was the sister to the late Mwokuciana M’muambi, M’kuciana M’nkaara, Ntongai M’nkaara, Kabutia Murebu and Itukia M’mworia.

Sabina Mwathi was married to the late Jackson M’mucheke  in 1960. She was a co-wife to the late Mwomuthuiru, Mwothiru, Ntundu and Thirindi.

In her marriage, she was blessed with the following children: Karuti Barithi Mucheke (Teacher Thirua), Charles Mithika Mucheke, Godffrey Ratanya Mucheke (Ramugo Projects Management Limited) and Zakary Mutene Mucheke (Mathenge Institute). She was a step-mother to the late Robert Kinyua M’mucheke, Mukiria Maore, and Regina Inokobia.

She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Saturday, 16th January 2021 at 06:00 am, then proceed to her rural home Antutuine village, Mutuati division, Meru County, where she will be laid to rest.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
