Architect Lawrence Lekama Gathu

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Architect Lawrence Lekama Gathu of Kanjeru Village, Muguga Sub-Location, Kikuyu Division in Kiambu County, formerly of Nairobi City Council, Eldoret Municipal Council and Nakuru County Government.

Husband to Lucy Wangari Gathu (USA) and father to Heavenly Njeri Kiriungi (USA), Bethuel Kahoko Gathu (USA), the late Wanjiru Gathu and Miriam Nyathimu Gathu (USA).

Father-in-law to Allan Kiriungi Gichuru (USA). Doting grandfather to Asher and Alya Kiriungi.

He was the first-born of the late Simon Kahoko Gathu and the late Elizabeth Njeri Kahoko.

He was the elder brother to Mary Wambui Mburu, Francis Njoroge,Alice Nyaguthii Njenga and Lucy Nge’ndo Golden (USA).

The cortege leaves PCEA Kikuyu Hospital Mortuary at Thogoto, Kikuyu on Friday, 22nd April, 2022 at 9:00am.

The funeral service will be held at Kanjeru Primary School, Kanjeru, Kikuyu, at 10:30am and thereafter burial will take place at his home in Kanjeru, Kikuyu.
