Jaduong Gideon Ogutu Opuko

We regret to announce the sudden transition of our Beloved Patriarch Jaduong Gideon Ogutu Opuko aka Gideon Bengo Ogutu to his heavenly abode on 5th September 2022. Retired Senior Civil Servant who served the Kenyan Government diligently in various capacities.

He was Son to the late Benjamin Opuko Ohayo and Philgona Adongo of Kano, Kochogo, Kisumu County, Son in-law to the late Barack and Pesila Okinda of Wangapala Kabondo.

Loving husband to Caroline Ogutu formerly of the Parliamentary Service Commission. Father to Betty and Isaac Oduong Oluoch, Lucy Ogutu, Lilly and Chris Nyambu, Ben and Magdalene Ogutu, Judy Ogutu, Nick and Naomi Ogutu and the late Bryan Ogutu.

Grandpa to Mycha Carolle, Davina, Ibrahim (Jnr), Kaylah, jayden, Jamal, Noah, Haluwa, Raziel Ryan and Nolan. Brother to Peter Akombo, Hesbon Opuko, Wellingtone Bengo, Teresa Maggero, Caren Miyoma, Hellen Aura, Godwin Ojowi Bengo, Ephraim Ogallo (Walter), Laban Bengo, Bernard Obiero, Hilda Akinyi, and Barnabas Opuko, the late Lydia Migan, Susan Okita, Margaret Ngeso, George Laban Bengo, Charles Obinju, Douglas Omollo, Elizabeth Wayumba, Damaris Alila,Willis Andhoga, Norah Onyuka among others.

Brother-in-law to Godkin, Jane, Mary, James Adie, Ayodo, Angela, Christine Akombo, Christine Obinju, Joseph Maggero, Veronica, Nelly, Catherine, late Roseline & Philemon and many others.

Uncle to the Akombos, Migans, Maggeros, Okitas, Gundos, Obinjus, Ojowis, Wayumbas, Alilas, Omollos and Bengos, amongst others.

The body lies at Aga Khan Mortuary Kisumu. Funeral arrangements are ongoing at Kochogo, Ahero and Nairobi, Riverside Drive from 5pm daily.

Funeral service shall be held at Kagimba AIC Church on Friday, 23rd September and Saturday, 24th September 2022, at his home in Kochogo Sub-location,Ahero.
