It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Dr. Joseph Phelix O. Mboya, which occurred on 13th September, 2022 at Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu.

Dr. Mboya was a son of the late Johnson Ilboya Okita and Mama Mikal Achola Mboya of Kitota Village, Kabura South Sub-Location, Kanyadoto West Location. Husband of the late Emma Nyaseta and Beryl Adhiambo. Son-in-law to Mr and Mrs McKenzie Mogere and Mr and Mrs Camlus Oduor Sidiga.

Father to Patricia Nerea Aluoch and Luizer Beth Achieng’ and grandfather to Felix and Milan.

Brother to the late Risper, Charles David Mboya, Pr. Charles Danish Mboya, Lilian Olga Adero,,the late Linet Aoko Mboya and Gilbert Pundo. He was also a step-son to Rose Akinyi Mboya and brother to Charles, Christine, Melda, Mercy, Latema, and the late Judith.

Cousin to Prof. Benard Muok, Mary, Edward, Christopher, Lorna, Grace, Joyce, Roseline, Tom, Kennedy, Linet, Grace Akinyi, Lencer, Paul, Kenneth, Isaiah, Nixon, Bruce, Jackline, Quinter, the late Joseph, the late George, the late Dorcas, the late Gladys, Nyawara, Jane, Adhiambo, Jane Mula, Beatrice, Nancy, Marcel, George, Kennedy, Dickens, Hellen, Atieno, Kevin, the late Joseph Nguka and many more.

His body is currently lying at Agah Khan Mortuary, Kisumu. The cortege will leave on Thursday, 6th October, 2022 at 8.00am, followed by a brief service at his Uhura home, opposite Uzima University.

He will be laid to rest on 7th October, 2022 at his Kitota Village, Kanyadoto West Location residence. The service will be led by Victory SDA Church – Kisumu and Kitota SDA Church.
