Charles Muthuuri Mathiu

It is with profound sorrow and heavy heart that we announce the passing on of Mr. Charles Muthuuri Mathiu, on 6th April, 2023 at the Kiirua Mission Hospital.

Son of the late Mathiu Gacheche and the late Elizabeth Kanyua.

Beloved husband to Elizabeth Mparu Muthuuri. Doting father to Peter Kiogora (Absa – Maua), Irene Gacheri (Australia), Matthew Kimaita, Mercy Gakii (Old Mutual) and Siegyfred Muriithi. Father-in-law to Antony Muiruri, Doris Gatwiri and Velym Kairuthi. Godfather to Grace Nkirote, Miriam Karambu, josee,Aana ba Murunga and Wakili Kinoti.

Grandfather to Auril Njoki, Avril Muthoni, Alistair JohnBosco, Jiana Pendo, Seth Israel Pendo, Ian Koome, Joan Muthuri, Makandi and Koki.

Brother to the late Kanyua M’mutunga, the late Sarah Karuru, M’kirera Mathiu, Alice Kajau, the late Samson Murunga, the late Phylis Karuta, Lawrence Njogu, the late Abraham Mbaabu and David Magana.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Mburugiti, Kibirichia Buuri East, Meru County.

The cortege will leave Kiirua Mission Hospital Funeral Home on Saturday 15th April, 2023 at 9:00am for a funeral service at Mburugiti Primary at 11:00am.The burial service will take place thereafter at his home.

Psalm 92:12-15 — “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like cedar of Lebanon. They will still bear fruits in old-age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming “The Lord is upright: he is my Rock and there is no wickedness in him.”
