James Mwaniki Gathigo

We wish to announce the passing on to glory of Mr James Mwaniki Gathigo after a short illness.

Son of the late Eustace Gathigo and the late Lydia Wanjiku and Milka Nyaguthii.

Husband to Anna Mumbi. Loving father to Steve and Catherine Gathigo, the late Andrew Mwaniki, Carole Mwaniki and Eddah Mwaniki.

Brother to the late Kariuki & the late Maria, the late Ngetha & Florence, Wachira & Njeri, the late Mugo & Nyokabi, the late Waheire & the late Ruth, Kamau & Nyambura,.the late Maina & Wamuyu, Wanjiru & Mukunya, the late Wacera,Wamuyu & Maina, Wanjiku & Mbugua, and Wangui.

Grandfather to Catherine Muthoni, Nicholas Gathigo, Dr. Mumbi Gathigo, Vanessa Gathigo, Wambui Ndegwa and Mumbi Ndegwa, among many others. He was an uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Funeral arrangement meetings are at his Gatitu 1 home from 4.00pm and at Sagret Hotel – Nairobi on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th June, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7.30pm.

The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital – Karatina, at on Saturday, 10th June 2023, at 8.30am for the funeral service at Mugwathi Motel grounds at 9:30am. He will be laid to rest at his Gatitu home, Nyeri County thereafter.
