Charles Mwariri Kahuthu

It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Charles Mwariri Kahuthu, which occurred on 7th June, 2023.

Son of the late Kahuthu Mbagi and the late Tabitha Wambui Kahuthu. Step-son to Wanja Kahuthu. Son-in-law to the late Thuo lkonya and the late Mine Njeri.

Husband to Jane Mumbi Mwariri (formerly of Gikomba Market). Loving father to Peris Wambui (Businesswoman) & Maina Migwi (Suluhu Mediation Centre), Hellen Muthoni (Kenya Airways) & Stevens Mathuka (Kenya Power Pension Fund), Gabriel Macharia (Business Man), and Lilian Wanjiru (Omnicare Medical Ltd) & George Wakaria (Omnicare Medical Ltd).

Brother to the late Peris Wanjiru, Margaret Njeri, the late Josphat Mwaniki and Alice Wangu. Step-Brother to Maina, Waweru, Nyawira, Celina, Ngari, Waruru and Mwangi.

Brother-in-law to the late Rwagi, the late Elijah Mwangi and Jane Wanjiru.

Grandfather to Wendy Njeri, Cindy Mukami, Mitchelle Mumbi, Malaika Wangari,Alvin Lello,Alpha Migwi, Shani Mumbi, David King Njoroge and Lycah Quinn Nyokabi. Uncle, cousin and friend to many.

There will be a Requiem Mass on Thursday 15th June, 2023 at 5:30pm at his home in Kamiti Ridge Estate, off Ruiru – Kiambu Road.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching & Referral Hospital Funeral Home, along Northern Bypass on Friday 16th June, 2023 at 7:00am. Funeral service will be held at Christ The King – Kiangai Catholic Parish, followed by interment at his rural home in Thunguri Village, Kiangai – Kirinyaga County.
