Zipporah Wanja Kiome

It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Zipporah Wanja Kiome, on 17th June, 2023 after a life well lived.

Daughter of the late Kiario M’Rucangu and Kaimuri M’Kiario.

Wife of the late Livingstone Kiome. Co-wife to the late Josephine Gatwiri. Mother to the late Lydia Nceri Gitonga, Jim K. Kiome, Phineas Kimathi, the late Linus Gitonga, the late Gilbert Kinoti (Kagimbi), Lucy Karimi, Dr. Silas Mwiti Kiome, Gladys Kagwene, the late Irene Kathure, the late Purity Mugure, the late Elias Kirimi, Ella Mukiri, Catherine Kananu, Patrick Mworia, Jane Mwendwa, the late Caroline Nkatha and Kenneth Kathurima.

Her other children through marriage are; the late Ezekiel Gitonga, Esther Gacheri, Evangeline Ntibuka, Faith Muthoni, Florence Kaburu, Pastor Marjorie Wanjira, Cnl. Erastus Kinyua, the late Mary Munyata, Philemon Kibiru & the late Rachel Kavenge.

Grandmother to Elizabeth, Pst. Rose, Dennis, Gatwiri, Gaki, Karwitha, Donald, Philemon, Leah, Abraham,. Joshua, Miriam, Mugambi, Mutuma, Makena, Kendi, Caro, Edwin, Mercy, Muthuri, Gikunda, Clifford, Kanana, Makena, the late Philip, Ivy, Ian, R. Kendi, Makena, Kagweria, Gasheri, Hillary & Faith. Zipporah is survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on 24th June, 2023 at 6:00am for a funeral service at Kigane Methodist Church from 11.00am. The Burial service will take place at her home in Kigane Village, Mikumbune Location Meru County.
