Joseph Lucas Mungai

It is with God’s Grace that we announce the promotion to Glory of Joseph Lucas Mungai which occurred on November 2nd 2023 while overseas.

He was the beloved son of the late Chief Luka Kahangara and the late Hannah Njeri Kahuria.

Loving husband and soulmate of Kesiah Mungai.

Son-in-law to the late Fredrick Mwangi Kimotho and Joyce Nyokabi Mwangi.

Loving Father to Anne Mungai-Kihiu, Lucas Mungai, Kavi Mungai and Dennis Mungai

Loving Father-in-law to Francis Kihiu Kinuthia, Stanvee Tarwo and Nike Balogun-Mwangi.

Loving Grandfather to Steve Kinuthia Kihiu, Stacey Wanjiku Kihiu, Saadiya Mungai, Saadatu Mungai and Luke Mwangi.

Brother to Teresia Wanjiku Thangwa, Peter Wainaina, the late George Gathu, Lucy Wanjiru, and the late Magdalene Wambui Gikonyo. He was a brother, Uncle, and Grandfather to many.

Currently meetings are ongoing at the Mungai’s Residence in South C and at his home in Lari/Nyamweru Githirioni Home. Meetings will be held on 22nd, 27th and 28th November 2023 at Holy Family Basilica, Cardinal Otunga Annex, St Cecilia Room, 5th floor. Time: 5.00pm – 7.00pm

Memorial Requiem mass will be held on Friday 24th at St Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, South C, Nairobi at 01.00pm.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home at 7.00am on Wednesday, 29th November, 2023, for funeral service and burial at his Rural home in Nyamweru Village, Githirioni Location, Lari Sub-Location, Kiambu County.
