Simon M’murithi M’Rimberia

 1937-2018

Father-in-law of Peter Gitonga, Fridah Kathure, William Ololchike (KCB, Nairobi), Joylyne Adhiambo and Agnes Karimi. The cortege leaves a Kiirua Mission Hospital at 9:30 am. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, 5th June 2018 at his home in Ntugi village.

1940-2018 & 1944-2018

We celebrate the lives of two brothers who went to be with the Lord, on Sunday 27th May for Reginald and on Monday 28th for James, both having succumbed to illness. They originally hailed from Rungiri.

Sons of the late Pauline Njeri & late Socrates Gitau Karanja. Brothers of Joan & Bernard Wainaina (USA), Jacinta & Edwin Murumbi, Charity & late Noel Gichanga, Njoki & Fred Karanja, late Olive Karanja, Catherine & late Joe Mwangi and Lincoln Kinuthia. Reginald was husband of Margaret Wanjiku and father of Pauline & Aaron Muneene, Olive Mugure & Kevin Gitau whereas James was husband of Joyce Wangui (Embulbul parish) and father of Grace Kaari & Charles Gitau, Pauline & Mathew Ndote, Caroline Wambui & Peter Kariuki.

A joint service is being held at Parklands Baptist Church from 6pm on the 30th, 31st, 4th & 6th June and for those wishing to visit their homes, for Reginald at Kangemi next to St. Joseph the worker workshop and for James at Ngong, Juanco Centre.

Reginald will be buried on Tuesday 5th June at Rungiri after a Church service at St. Peter the Apostle Church, Kikuyu township at 11 a.m, while James will be buried on Thursday 7th June at Ngong, Juanco after a church service at P.C.E.A Embulbul Church at 11 a.m.

Prof. Seth Marande Kisia

Born: 1st May, 1959 – Died:26th May, 2018

The family of Prof. Seth Marande Kisia in humble acceptance announces his passing on following a short illness bravely borne.

The late Seth Marande Kisia was a Professor at the Department of Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology at the University of Nairobi. Son of the Late Holiab Kisia Alenga, Mama Zirah Kisia of Kidundu Village,Vihiga County. Brother of the Late Mgr. Edgar, Charles Lubanga, Japheth Lavusa, Bynam Olesia, Antony Alenga, Dorothy Kedogo, Humphrey Kisia and Moses Kagasi and Joseph Kagasi.

Nephew of Rtd. Mgr. Jezreel Amani, Pastor Loi Kegode, Priscilla Olocho, John Kagasi and Dr. Allan Kisia. Cousin of Beatrice Ng’alwa, Nicholas Alenga, Sande Olocho, Susan Lukano Martin Khamala, Caroline Ng’alwa, Clara Kemoli and Mary Atiamunga among others. The body leaves the Chiromo Mortuary for a memorial service to be held on Thursday June 7th 2018 at Friends International Church Ngong Road at 8:00arn.

The burial will be held on Saturday 9th June 2018 in Kidundu Village Vihiga County.

Prof. James Nyambane Ombega, OGW

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we the family of Prof. James Nyambane Ombega announce his passing on Sunday, 27th May 2018. He was until his death the Head of Department, School of Medicine and Health Sciences in the Department of Pharmacy at the Kenya Methodist University. He is a longstanding member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya.

Funeral arrangements are currently being held at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi beginning at 5:30 p.m. from Wednesday 29th May 2018, Thursday 30th May 2018 and Friday, 31st May 2018. A final funeral arrangement meeting is scheduled for Monday, 4th June 2018 at The 680 Hotel at 5:30 p.m.

Details of the funeral service and of the final send off will be announced at a later date.
