It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Mrs. Veluben Mulji Karman Shah on Tuesday, 31st July 2018 in Nairobi.

She was Daughter of Late Vaja Lakha & Late Jiviben Vaja Lakha. She was Daughter-in-Law of Late Karman Hadha & Late Monghiben Karman Hadha.

She was Wife of Late Mulji Karman Shah. She was Mother of Chandrakant (UK), Jayanti (UK), Late Ashok, Hasmukh (Teen-Age Wears Ltd), Bharat (UK), Praful (Teen-Age Wears Ltd), Hemant (UK), Kailash Kumarpal (UK), Savita Pankaj (UK) and Aruna Rajesh (UK).

She was Mother-in-Law of Vilas Chandrakant, Sunita Jayantilal, Shobhna Hasmukh, Bharti Praful, Ansuya Bharat, Kumarpal Devchand Kachra, Pankaj Mulchand and Rajesh Manekchand.

She was Sister of Late Meghji Vaja Lakha, Ratilal Vaja Lakha, Late Kanji Vaja Lakha and Late Gomiben Ratilal Shah.

She was Grandmother of Bhavin Chandrakant, Shikul Chandrakant (Pots and Pans), Neha Ronak, Jay Hasmukh, Roshni Hasmukh, Kajal Bharat, Bina Bharat, Seema Bharat, Priyal Bharat, Bhiku Bharat, Krupali Praful, Urmil Praful, Paras Kumarpal, Harshil Pankaj, Viren Pankaj, Arjun Rajesh and Shreena Rajesh.

Cortege will leave from Oshwal Centre, Ring Rd Parklands, Nairobi on Wednesday, 1st August 2018 at 10:30am and cremation will take place at the Hindu Smashan Bhumi, Kariokor at 11:00am.

Prayer meeting will be held on Wednesday, 1st August 2018 at Oshwal Centre, Ring Road Parklands, Nairobi at 8:00pm.

Vincent Chege Gitau

Death has occurred of Vincent Chege Gitau, 1st year student Kirinyaga University.

First born child of Mr. Francis Gitau and Jane Wanja of Riverside Estate, Mugutha Ruiru, Kiambu County. Brother to Eustace Kuria, Tabitha Njoki and Brenda Wambui and a cousin to many. Grandson to Mary Wambui, late Joseph Chihi, late Tabitha Njoki and late Kuria Kagucia.Nephew to Kamau, Nyambura,  Kuhonwo, Njambi, Mburu, Wanjiru, Wanjiku,  Mugure and Kiarie.

The body leaves K.U. Funeral Home at 9:00 am for funeral mass service at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Ruiru at 11.00am on Thursday 2nd August 2018. Thereafter burial ceremony will take place at Kimaruri Village Karinga Sublocation Gatundu South.

It is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Steven Mburu Kariuki, Advocate, on 27th July 2018.

Son of the late David Mburu Kariuki and Lucy Wangari Mburu. Grandson of the late Joyce Wairimu Kariuki. Husband of Hannah Muthoni Kariuki. Loving father of Maxwell Mburu, Mitchell Wangari and Emmanuel Mwangi.

Brother of Joseph Macharia Mburu, Joyce Wairimu Mburu and Joshua Mbuthia Mburu. Cousin and friend to many.

The body is lying at Umash Funeral Home and will be laid to rest in Kitengela on the 7th of August 2018.

 Born: 1st Jan 1944

The Kimundu family regrets to announce the death of Mrs. Serah Muthoni Kimundu of Ndunyu Njeru, Mukungi Sub-location, North Kinangop that occurred on 29th July 2018 after a short illness.

She was the beloved wife of Mr. John Mathiaka Kimundu (former M.E.O, Nakuru Municipality), dear Mother to Mary Njoki Ngure (AFC), Isaac Kimundu (AFC), Lydia Kimundu (JKUAT), the Late Chrispus Muthui, Robert Kimundu (M. Hauliers), Mike Kimundu (PKF), Beatrice Kimundu (DeKUT) and Zippy Kimundu (Afrofilms). She was a treasured sister to The late Ayub Muthui, The Late Zipporah Mundia, The Late John Maina, Ephrahim Wachira, Bilha Kiura, Geoffrey Kibara, David Gachugu, Nancy Nyambura and Daniel Mwareri. Mother-in-Law to John Ngure, Phylis Muthoni, Pamela Tyongik, John Mwangi and Olive Wanjiku. Serah was an adoring grandmother to many, the eldest being Serah Kimundu and Andrew Ngure. She was a devoted great-grandmother, Aunt, Cousin, neighbor, mentor and friend to many.

Meetings will be held everyday from Tuesday 31st July – Thursday 2nd August at All Saints Cathedral Hall F625 from 5:30pm.

The funeral procession will leave Nairobi’s Montezuma Funeral Home (off-Mbagathi Way) at 7:00a.m. for her family home: Ndunyu Njeru, Mukungi, Nyandarua County where the Funeral Service and Burial will be held on Saturday 4th August 2018 starting 11 00am.

Grandfather of 16 Grandchildren & 1 Great Grandchild. Brother of the late Maina Njuguna, Gicheru Njuguna, Ndegwa Njuguna & Gitau Njuguna. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the promotion of glory of Mr. Peter Ntirika Murithi who was a teacher at Thege Primary School on 24th July 2018 after a short illness. He hails from Chibune Village, Katheri Location Meru County.

Loving son of the late M’Murithi M’Marete and late Zipporah Kajuju. Husband of Faith Gatwiri Murithi (Headteacher Kijijone Pry, Sch.). Adored father of Verah Evelyn Kathambi (Meru University), Kellen Kathure (Cooperative Bank Nrb) and Betty Kendi (Kipya Africa Nrb). Brother of Sabella Muthuri, Mercy Nkirote, Mbaabu Murithi ( Principal-Muthangene Day Sch.), Harriet Nkatha, David Mburugu, Charity Gakii, the late Gachoga Miriti, Florence Naitoreioseph Mutuma and Faith Kinanu. He was son in law of the late Robert M’mbogori and late Tabitha Robert. Brother in law of Janet, Mbobua, Gitonga, Zipporah, Riunga, Grace, Kathurima and Nelly.

The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home on Wednesday 1st August 2018 at 9.30am for a service at Muthangene M.C.K Church and thereafter laying his body of rest at his home in Chibune Village Katheri in Meru County.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce The promotion to glory of Peter Baariu Amanja of Ministry of Defence which occurred on 24th July 2018 while undergoing Treatment at defence forces memorial hospital.

Son of the late Joseph M’ Amanja and the late Ciamwenda and the late Cialakua. Husband of Joyce Waithera Amanja of Muranga Teachers College. Father of Elsie and Christopher, Felistus Kagendo, Natasha Muthoni and Natalie Nyambura. Grandfather of Kisha Nyamu. Brother of the late Kauna and late Pius, Kanja and Nchebere, the late Mwonjaru and late Ntoruru, the late Valery Kananga and Judy Muthoni, the late Nchulubi and the late Chief M. Anmpiu and Ntonjira, Anna and Ng’olua, Julius and Kinya. and Laurent and Kawiria.

Uncle of many including Zipporah Mukoruru of Privatization Commission, Eng Kananga M’ Nchebere of PPC International. Dr Mungambi of Directorate of Civil Aviation, Rose Kaberia Catherine Kangere and Jane Kananga. Son-in-law of Zipporah Nyambura. Brother-in-law of James, Mary, and late Monica. He is survived by many great nephews and great nieces.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence in Utawala and at Antonio’s restaurant in Nairobi CBD for burial arrangement.

The cortege leaves Defence Forces memorial hospital on Fridays 3rd august 2018 at 5:00 a.m for burial at his home in Athwana Mikinduri, Meru county.

Mother of Paul Wanyoike, Edwin Wanyoike, Sr Mary Wanyoike, Richard Wanyoike, Ann Wanyoike and Eunice Wanyoike. Mother in-love of Mary Wanjiku, Rose Wanjiru, Caroline Gathoni. Simon Ndichu and Fredrick Ngugi. Grandmother of Ben, Lawrence, Francis, Olivia, Abigail, Nancy, Miguel and Arnold.
