Mildred Abongo and Agnes Abongo, US-based mother and daughter die in accident while on trip to Kenya

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that the family of Nancy and Mark Abongo announce the death of Mildred Abongo and her daughter Agnes Abongo of Atlanta, Georgia, in a tragic road accident along the Nakuru Highway while on a visit to Kenya from the USA.

Mildred was daughter of the late William Opiyo and Merceline Opiyo. Wife of Pater Abongo. Beloved mother of Paul Abongo, Miriam Abongo and the deceased Agnes Abongo. Sister of Silas Otieno and Jimmy Achungoi of the USA, Lauren Opiyo and Mark Abongo. Sister in law of Nancy Abongo and Karen Achungo.

Meetings and funeral arrangements to facilitate family members in the USA to travel for burial in Kenya are being held daily at Quail Restaurant in Busia.

Nephew of the late Mayaka, the late Tito, the late Nyarieko, the late Nyangate, the late Nyaosi, the late Orori, the late Nyakarnbi, the late Mochama, the late Tinega and Mabeya Nyamwaro, the late Kiriama, the late Nyanchama, the late Kimoro, the late Obonyo, the late Mogiti and Mosiara, Ongondi and the late Mokeira.

Sister-in-law of late Njeru and Tabitha Kihara. Aunt of Boniface, Jayne, Irene (UK), Sarah (USA), Daniel, Samuel, Gabriel, Lawrence, Arno (Holland), Joris (Holland), Coreen and Lyan.

Tom Ogindo of Pecskill NY, the late Monica Onyango, Salesa Nyamburi of Delawere USA and the late Consolata Atieno.

The cortege will leave Mountezuma Mortuary on the 31st August 2018. Arriving at Karnser village Nyagowa Sub-location Homabay County same day followed by prayer service to be held at Sere SDA Church Kamser Nyagowa.

The burial will be on the 2nd of September 2018.
