It is with humble acceptance of God’s will we announce the death of Richard Wanjohi Mwangi which occurred on 27/8/2019.

Beloved son of the late Lamech Kiarie Mbogo and Fridah Waithera Kiarie. Loving husband of Grace Wanjiru Mwangi. Father of Kiarie Mwangi, Fridah Okello, Andrew Maina and Moses Gitau (DJ Tumz). Brother of the late Rosemary Muchoki, Benson Maina, the late Dr. S. K. Mbogo, Jane Nyambura Muketha, Margaret Wambui Wachira, Peter Muhia and Elizabeth Wanjiru Ndungu. Grandfather of Hawi Amani Okello, Hera Wendo Okello, Fariji Watiri Kiarie, Leon Mbogo and Kirathimo Mbogo. Uncle and cousin of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his residence in Buruburu phase 2 house no. 805, Norwich Union House and at the family home in lyego, Kangema, Murang’a County from 6:00 pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Tuesday, 3rd September at 8:00a.m. Funeral service will be celebrated at the family home in lyego location, Githunguri sublocation, about 1km from Michuki Technical Training Institute from 11:00 am.

Daughter of the late Stephen Chege and the late Mary Wambui of Gachoire Lari Constituency Kiambu. Loving wife of James Njogu, Veterinary Officer Mai Mahiu. Loving mother of Anne Wangari Kantai inspector Administration Police Narok South, Mary Wambui of Maseno University and Stephen Wangige of Utumishi Academy Gilgil. Mother in love of Mike Kantai. Sister of Njoroge and Thuo Nakuru, Kang’iri Olkalou, Mbacio Nairobi, Wanjiku Kabazi, Kamau Eldoret and Karanja Kiambu.

Friends and relatives are meeting in her home at pipeline, Nakuru daily.

The cortege will leave Umash funeral home Nakuru on Monday 2/9/2019 at 9am and thereafter burial at her home in Pipeline Nakuru.

Wife of Alfred Wafula Muse (Retired Education Officer and currently Director, Sunrise Academy Sikhendu). She was daughter of the late William and Peletina Washiali and Dorina Sangula. Loving mother of Theresa Wafula (Mumias Complex School), Edwin Wafula (Trans Nzoia County), Stephen Chesoli (Late), Bonface Muse (Egerton University Co-operative), Charles Washiali (Safaricom PLC), Joan Muse (Snapplify) and Gloria Wafula (USA). Foster mother of Henry Bunyasi (Principal, Japata High Shool), Dr. Caroline Kundu (KALRO) and William Washiali (MMUST). Sister of Dorcas Nechesa, Rispar Mutanda, Henry Suchi, Moses, the late Grace, Hon. Ben Washiali (M.P. Mumias East and Majority Chief Whip), Agnes, Linet, the late William, Ruth, Wycliffe, Susan and Elizabeth Washiali.

Daughter in law of the late Barnabas and Sarah Muse. Sister in law of Philip, Samwel, Stanley, Elijah, Leonard, Lusweti, Nekesa, Mwangala, Ruth, Beatrice, Grace and Mary Muse.Mother in law of Geoffrey Milkau, Elizabeth, Stellah Kerubo (Mbiuni High). The cortege leaves Lugulu Mission Hospital on 1st September 2019, to Sikhendu Friends Church for requiem mass and thereafter to her home in Sikhendu.

She will be laid to rest at her home on Tuesday 3rd September, 2019 starting from 9:00AM.

Brother of the late Kiprono Sitienei, late Easter Cheptabut, Elizabeth Chesanga, late Elizabeth Chemigok, late Noah Koitaba, Priscah Seletho, late Taptalai Busienei, late Martha Maritim, Ann Chepwambok Keter, late Risper Kogei, Chepkwony Rongoei, the late Silvester Koitaba, late Joseph Sing’oei, late Daudi Sing’oei and Costandin Biwott. Father of Edward Kipchumba, Naomi Chelimo, Ednah Cheptoo, Bernard Kipkemei and James Koitaba. Grandfather of Ednah, Brian, Mercy, Ivy, Darwin, Joseph, Travis, Yves and Noah. Burial arrangements are on going at his home Namgoi village and a harambee is scheduled for this Sunday and he will be laid to rest on 3rd Tuesday in his farm.

Mother of the late Njenga, Philip Mwangi (Tenda Kazi ENT), Clement Githuku (Sideways) and Anne Wambui. Mother-in-law of Jane Wambui Mwangi (Delta airlines), Lucy Wanjiru Githuku and Eliud Chege. Grandmother of Linet Kabia, Emily Kabia, Jason, Shawn, Angel, Trinah Kabia and Elsie. Cousin and auntie of many.

Prayers and funeral arrangement meetings continue to be held at her home in Riruta along Ngina road Nairobi from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, at 8.30am on Tuesday 3rd September, 2019 for St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Riruta for funeral mass and thereafter burial at Lang’ata Cemetery.

Father of the late Karen Cianduru Kanga, Bernard Baithumbi, the late Julius Mati, Lydia Kanini, the late Charity Karimi, Charles Micheni, Felix G. Mbiuki, Erastus Gitonga, Casty Kaari. Father-in-law of many. Grandfather of many. Great-grandfather of many.

Meeting are being held at 680 hotel Nairobi and at his home residence in Kagoka Village Kambandi Tharaka Nithi County.

The main harambee will be held on Wednesday at 680 Hotel Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Tenri Hospital Ena on 6th Sept 2019 at 8.00am for burial at his residence home in Kagoka – Kambandi.
