Daughter of Mwalimu George Nyaega Ongubo and Loyce Bosibori Nyaega of Raitigo Settlement Scheme. Granddaughter of the late Mzee Ongubo Oenga, the late Mama Nyangweso, the late Mama Truphena Nyangweso, the late Siko Nyamari,Late mama Jerusha Mama Rosa Nyanduko. Mother of Debora Kemuma. Sister of Damaris, Kerima, Nyangweso, Susan and Obed. Aunt of Vida and Vanida Sister-in-law of Maxwell Abuya and Faith Kemunto. Niece of Mabira, Peris, Nyambeki, Nyarera, Onserio, Nyanchoka, Ndigwa,Nyakara, Nyanchoka Rebecca, Margaret, Osebe, Obare, Beatrice, Agnes, Angaine, Siko, Eng Nyakiongora, Okelo, Queen, Kemunto, Jane Moses, Esther, Pamela, Agnes among others. Cousin of the Mabiras, Ogandos, Nyareras, Onyansis, Ratemos, Onserios, Oichoes, Abokos, Nyakibas, Omaribas, Ogegas and Nyakerumas among others. A colleague and dear friend to many.

A fundraiser to offset funeral expenses is scheduled for Tuesday, 1st October 2019 at The professional Centre from 5:00p.m.

The cortege leaves Nairobi Women’s Hospital on 03/10/19.

A funeral service and interment will be held on 4th October 2019 at Raitigo Settlement scheme, Esise Location Borabu, Nyamira County.

Wellington Mutuku Nganga

It is with sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Wellington Mutuku Nganga of Kikambuani village, Kanzalu location, Kangundo Subcounty.

Son of the late Mary Nganga husband of Felistus Mutuku. Father of Patrick Mulei, Faith Ouso and Janet Munini. Father-in-law of Mercy and Leonard. Grandfather of Serena, Yvette, Aymar, Ronney and Ryan. Brother of Onesmus Mutinda, Florence Mumbua, Esther Kioko, Meshack Mutisya, Doris Koki and Damaris Mwongeli. Brother in-law of Jane Mutinda, Thomas, Joshua Kioko and Victoria Nthenya. In-law of Mr. and Mrs. James Muinde, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Muiana, Mrs. Peris Anyango Ouso.

There will be fundraising to offset his hospital bill and funeral arrangements on 2nd October 2019 at Garden Square Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Mortuary on 5th October 2019. Burial ceremony shall be held at his home in Kikambuani village Kanzalu Sub-location Kangundo Sub-county.

Mzee Joel Mukhutsi Lung’ayia

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing on of Mzee Mwalimu Joel Mukhutsi Lung’ayia of Bwimalia Vihulu village, Mugomari Sub-location lsukha West. Kakamega County on 22nd September 2019.

Son of the late Mzee Andrew Lung’ayia & the late Mama Reba Khavakaii. Husband of the late Mama Dorcas Ayuma Mukhutsi & the late Mama Juliana Itembe Mukhutsi. Loving father of Obeid, Martin, Benson, Ken, Bernard, Gerrishom, Joy, Gibson, Faith, Joan Carol, Evans, Edgar, Dennis, Maureen, Godfrey, Lusinde, Kevin & the late Shitakha. Foster father of Hellen, Judith, Douglas, George & Zadock; Brother of the late Zachary, the late Sarah, the late Anna, the late Priscah, the late Trufena, Cecilia, Joseph & Ruth.

Father in Law of Isaac Lusala, Ernest Juma, Alfred ldagiza, Charles Kamau, George Wambua, Joshua Khamasi, Donald Maila. Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Norwich Union 7th floor from 5pm for prayers and final arrangements for his send off. There will be a fundraising on Tuesday 01st October 2019 at All Saint Cathedral from 5pm.

The cortege leaves Mukumu Mission Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 03rd October 2019 for night vigil. There will be a requiem service at his homestead, by Vihulu Quakers Church on Friday 04th October 2019 from 11am. Burial will be at his home, Bwimalia, Vihulu village on Saturday 05th October 2019 from 9am.

Mwalimu Joel, as you rest in God’s hands, in our hearts you will live forever. Till We Meet Again!

Mary Wanjiru Ndegwa

It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely death of Mary Wanjiru Ndegwa which occurred on the 22nd September 2019. Until her death Wanjiru was an employee of the Nairobi county.

Daughter of the late Elizabeth Mwihaki and Nathaniel Ndegwa. Spouse of James Wachira, mother of Cynthia Wanjiku, Elizabeth Mwihaki and Daniel Wachira. Loving Sister of Habib Omar Kongo, Mwangi Pwagus Ndegwa, Late Peter Ndegwa. Aunt of Hon Antony Kimemia, Lee Gachuhi, Phinnie, Jamal Kongo(USA), Latifa Omar,Kevin Kongo, Agnes Muthoni, Lucyann, Judy and many others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Ruai Water and Sewerage staff quarters.

Loving father of the late Florence Kwamboka, Charles & Emily Mokaya (Ongata Rongai), Redemptor & Reuben Masese (Rehema Academy), Dominic & Jackline lsanda (US), the late Bosco, Edward & Gladys Monari (US), Stella Bosibori (Ola Energy), the late Isaiah, Kemunto, Claire & Tobias Deutschbein (Germany). Grandfather of Carlos, Georgina, Anne, Esther, Mercy, Victor, Emmanuel, Doreen, Lisle, Diana, Valentine, Tertia, George, Sofia, JohnPaul, Benedict, Mark, Michelle, Michael, Madeleine, Coby & Kyle. At the time of his death, Mzee had 11 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Andrew Momanyi, Nyamoita, the late Omobe, the late Makori, Moruri, Atenga and Gekondo. The cortege lies at HEMA Hospital mortuary, Kisii. Burial is scheduled for Friday, 4th October 2019 at his home, Moturumesi Village, Kitutu Masaba Constituency, Nyamira County.

Friends, family and relatives are meeting daily from 5pm in Kisii Town, at Rapid Foods (KICC) in Nairobi, and Mzee’s Moturumesi residence.

Loving wife of the late Joseph Mutambuki. Doting mother of Patrick Ndiritu, the late Mary Wangui, Chrispus Wambugu, Lucy Waiyaki (Thika), Kimondo Mutambuki (KALRO), Rose Waguthi, Benson Matu and Grace Nyakinyua. Mother in law of Winfred Wairimu, the late Rufus Muigua, Emily Wambui, Elder (Rtd) Waiyaki Hunja, Esther Wangui, Eliud Ndiritu, Mary Gathoni and George Chege. Grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Family and friends will be meeting at St. Andrews church on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd October 2019 at 5.30PM, and also at her home daily in Mung’aria, Kirimukuyu Location, Mathira Sub County, Nyeri County.

The cortege leaves Outspan Hospital mortuary on Friday 4th October 2019 at 8.00 a.m. for a memorial service from 11a.m. at Wakamata PCEA church and thereafter burial at her home.

Henry Alube Mulindi

On the 19th September 2019 Henry Alube Mulindi was promoted to glory from Mt Elgon Hospital Kitale.

Son of the late Jeremiah Mulindi and the late Risper Indakwa. Husband of Lois Waronya Alube. Father and grandfather of Edward and Hilda Mulindi parents of Isaac, Brian, Andrew and Lois. Beatrice and Edward Mohimi parents of Elaine, Denzel and Emmanuel (Canada), Nelly and Dr. Nath Opiyo (Uon-KNH, Aga Khan hospital) parents of Sharleen Opiyo (SIC), Martin and Rosemary Obare parents of Alvin, Amanda, Chantal and Baraka (Canada), the late Lilian Alube, Diana and the late Simon Gitonga parents of Janai and Keilah, Linda and David Odhiambo parents of Rodney, Zarah and Jesse (Abu Dhabi).

Burial takes place on 4th October 2019 from 10:00 am.
