Appreciation
On the 17th of January 2020, the Lord called one of His own to be by His side. We the family of Mathias Mbabu wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all our relatives, friends, neighbors, service providers and well wishers who stood with us following the demise of mum. Your prayers, visits, messages of condolences, support and thoughtfulness were and will remain a great source of comfort to us. While her loss is difficult to bear, we draw strength from the knowledge that she touched many lives with her benevolence and kindness.
We thank God for Chera Catholic church fraternity for prayers and spiritual guidance. Special gratitude goes to all the clergy present at Mum’s requiem mass led by Dr. Fr. Lawrence Njeru and Dr. Fr. Alex Mati for giving mum such a befitting sendoff. Our appreciation also goes to the CWA fraternity of Chera Parish, Chuka parish and Don Bosco UpperHill for the amazing support. To the Jumuia’s that prayed with us, St Mary’s Chera, St. Rita’s of Don Bosco and St. Alexander of Rukindu prayer House, we are truly blessed to have you in our lives.
We convey our sincere appreciation to our colleagues at Teachers Service Commission, Ministry of Education, Stanbic Bank, Tharaka Nithi County Government and the Parliamentary Service Commission for your support during our bereavement. We will always remember your overwhelming generosity, gentle sympathy and practical kindness with great affection and gratitude. To the funeral Organizing committees in Nairobi and Chera, Netasam Events, Nicholas Mulila and Family, and Kanyuru Primary and Secondary Schools we are grateful for your immense support.
Special gratitude to all the leadership of Tharaka Nithi County led by H.E the Governor Muthomi Njuki, Members of Parliament – Hon. Senator Kindiki Kithure, Hon. Kareke Mbiuki, Hon. Patrick Munene, Hon. Beatrice Nkatha, Former Governor Hon. Samuel Ragwa, Vice Chancellor Chuka University Prof. Erastus Njoka, Kiambi Matanka,Tharaka Nithi Couty Commissioner and all the current and former MCA’s for the enormous support accorded to our family.
Our very special appreciation goes to Sister Honesta of Chera Catholic Church Dispensary for selflessly attending to mum throughout her ailing period. May the Lord bless you. To the entire Chera community and everyone else who was there for us, how can we ever thank you enough for all you have done? We can only pray that the Lord keeps you well and blesses you abundantly.
