Loving Mother of Peter Ndwiga Njerenga, Michael Ithiga Njerenga and Ann Karen Wanjuki Njerenga. Mother-in-law of Windrose Karimi of Nairobi, Alice Kirimi of Embu. Grandmother of Snarne Ngendo, Fabian Munene and Walny Kariuki. Sister of Njeru Ithiga, Teresina Ithiga, Cecilia Ithiga, Agnes Ithiga John Ithiga, Mathais Inthigaano Susan Ithiga. Sister-in-law of the late Agatha Kathuri, the late Henry Njerenga, the late Stanley Ireri Njeru, the late Fredrick Nyaga, Mary Ngurumbu, Justin Njerenga, the late Joseph Njerenga, Valiano Njerenga, Mrs. Jane Mwangi, Margaret Njerenga and Paul Njerenga.

Brother of the late Musau Festo, the late Peter Festo, the late Joseph Festo, the late John Festo, the late Mbithe Festo, the late Mwikali Festo and Maua Festo. Cousin of David Mulandi, Joseph Mulandi, Mumbua Mwitiki and the late Kalipso Mwitiki among others. Grandfather of Rick Nelson and Lawrence Mbaga among others.

The burial will take place at his home in Ithookwe Village, Tungutu Sub Location, Kyangwithya West, Kitui County on Saturday 4th July 2020.

Thika Town), Dr. Geoffrey Heme Ndung’u (USA), Pastor Wilfred Ngugi (Uplands), Charles Chege (Kirigithu Sec Sch), Naomi Ndung’u (Kangundo Hospital), John Maina Ndung’u (ACME Containers), Jane Faith St. James – Juja Farm) and the late Nelson Kimani. Brother of Jane Kamuyu (Murengeti), Nicholas Kimari (Africana Butchery Eidoret), Sofia (Gilgil), the late Joseph Ngugi and the late Charles Nguri. Stepbrother of Ngugi, Waithuki, Wairimu and Mukuhi. In-law of Bishop Dr. Moses Mbugua (Redeemed Gospel Church — Thika) and Mr. & Mrs. Dominic Njenga. Grandfather and great-grandfather of many.

The cortege leaves A.I.C. Kijabe Mortuary on Thursday 2nd July 2020 at 8.00am followed by funeral and burial service at his home Kimende the same day.

Mark, an employee of UAP/Old Mutual, was born on 11th March 1989 to Joseph Mbithi Matheka and Margaret Kamene Matheka. Cherished grandson of the late Matheka Kiluu & the late Phoebe Mueke of Mbooni and Jonathan Muoki &Alice Wanza Muoki of Wamunyu. Loving brother of Micky Mutie Matheka & Anne Mutheu Mutie, Joyce Mumbua Mbithi and Eric Matheka Mbithi & Jane Kanyi Matheka. A proud uncle of Michelle Mueni, Warvie Katanu, Erastus Keli and Mbinya. Mark was a beloved nephew, cousin, colleague and friend to many.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday, 3rd July 2020 at 7am. The funeral service and interment will be held at the family home in Kimutwa, Kwa Kavoo. Please be informed that the ceremony will be conducted strictly in accordance with MOH Covid-I9 guidelines.
