It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Violet Wanjugu Kariuki on 3rd August, 2020 in Virginia, USA.

Daughter of the late Eutychus Kanyuira Munuhe and the late Keziah Nyakeru Kanyuira of lhwagi. Wife to S. Kariuki Kamanjiri. Mother to Nyakinyua Kariuki, Karuga Kariuki and Faith Kariuki. Daughter-in-law to the late Eutychus Kamanjiri and the late Flora Nyakinyua Kamanjiri of Tumutumu. Sister of the late Olivia Wanglombe, Elizabeth Thimba, Rodrick Munuhe, Charles Mathenge, the late Jane Wambui, Patrick Thoithi, Eva Gitau, Onesmus Gathogo, Beatrice Wambui and Purity Manyali. Sister In Law of Lydia Nyakeru, the late James Waweru, the late Julia Muthoni, Esther Muringe, the late Jedidah Wandia, Mercy Wanjiku, the late Charles Njora, Jayne Kamanjiri and Robert Mwangi. She was an Auntie, Cousin, Grandmother and a friend to many.

The body is lying at Kenyatta University Funeral Home. The cortege leaves the Home on Wednesday 2nd September, 2020 at 8:00am. The Funeral Service and Burial will be held thereafter at her home in lkonju, Tumutumu, Nyeri County at 10:00am.

Cortege leaves Coptic Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday, 2nd September 2020 at 8.00am for funeral service at Yakarengo ACK Church and thereafter burial at his home Gathiruini Village, Mathioya, Murang’a County.

Grandfather of Michelle Wangechi Njoroge, Nicole Wambui Njoroge, Liz Wangechi Njenga, Lisa Atieno Njenga, Mugo Mwangi, Wangechi Mwangi, Alvin Njenga, Alex Mwangi, Lee Mwangi, Anita Mwangi, Emmanuel Njenga and lmaan Pepeno. Brother of Sarah Njenga, Samson Kimani, Lucy Wambui, Bernice Maina, the late Susan Kanyoro, Minneh Kamau, Samuel Ndirangu, the late Maclus Thiongo, Elizabeth Miano and the late Wilfred Waithaka.

The cortege departs from Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral Home on Mbagathi Way, Wednesday, 2nd September 2020 at 8.00 a.m for a funeral service at his family home in Gatithi Village, Kiine Sub-county, Kirinyaga County.

Brother of Dr Nyaga Rucha, Betty Rucha, Muiya Mukuru, Mwandiki Rucha and Wendy Magara. Brother-in-law of Lucy Nyaga, Jahashon Mukuru, Dorothy Mwandiki and John Magara. Uncle of Mukami, Keeru, Mwenda, Martin, Mawira, Kathambi, Brian, Marvin, Karen, Sheila, Tyson, Ivy, Lavender and Ivan.

He will be laid to rest at his Kiambogo home, Maara sub-county, Tharaka-Nithi county on Tuesday 1st of September 2020, from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
