Titus Mugo Kimani

With profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the death of Tim Mugo Kimani. Son of the late Reuben Gathitu Mukungu and the late Wakairu Gathitu.

In his lifetime, Kimani was a loving husband to the late Mary Ngonyo and Lucy Nyaguthii. God blessed the couple with 13 children namely: late Sarah Wanjiru, Thomas Muthee, late Julius Nderitu, Francis Kimani, Charles Maina, Peter Wabittah, Nicholas Mwangi, Jane Wakairu, Benjamin Muthee, Esther Nyambura, Stephen Kinyua, Dickson Muriuki and Cyrus Muriithi.

Brother to the late Mukungu Gathitu, the late Geoffrey Wabita, Captain Mukoma, Symon Wamuu, Muthoni, Peter Warui, the late Pharis Mugo and the late James Muriithi.

He was also uncle, father in law friend and grandfather to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Sagana for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University (KU) Funeral Home on Tuesday 3rd November 2020 8.00 am for funeral service and burial thereafter at his home Sagana starting at 10:00am.

Prof. Samuel Wambugu Wachanga

It is with a heavy heart and in submission to the will of God that we announce the death of Prof. Samuel Wambugu Wachanga of Egerton University and Elder at PCEA church which occurred on Wednesday 28th October 2020.

He was the beloved husband to Dr. Patriciah Wambugu of Egerton University. Son of the late Amos Wachanga Kamuthu and the late Hannah Njeri Wachanga. Father to Hope Wangechi (Britam), Amos Wachanga (Sibasi Ltd), John Waweru (Kalvad) and grandfather to Alvin Munene.

He was the brother to Racheal Wanjiru Wanjohi, Edward Kamuthu, Jesse Mwangi, Esther Wangeci Maim, Mary Wanjiku Muthangia and Rahab Wangui Muchiri.

Prayer meetings are being held daily at Nuru Palace Hotel, Nakuru, from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Thereafter, planning committee meeting held at the same venue from 5:00pm.

The memorial service will be held on Monday 2nd November 2020 from 3:00pm at PCEA Nakuru West Suburb church.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral home in Nakuru for the burial ceremony to be held on Wednesday 4th November 2020 at his home in Ihururu, Nyamakuyu Village in Nyeri County. Further details can be found at www.samuelwachanga.com.

Father to Stephen Kinuthia, Christopher Kamau and Robert Wairegi. Father in law Margaret Gathoni and Anne wanjeri. Brother to Rosemary Wanja, Susan Wangui, Mary Wangari, Margaret Njeri, Timothy Babu, Philip Waithaka, Caroline Wanja, Ruth Wanjiru, Mwangi Kinuthia and Martha Waithera. There will be a memorial service at his Redhill Kabuku home on Sunday 1st November at 2.30pm.

The cortege leaves MP Shah Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 3rd November 2020 at 7.30a.m. for the funeral service at 11.00 a.m. and burial at his Home in Limuru.

We announce the death of Francis Mahia Chege. He was residing at Tena estate Nairobi.

Son of the late Samson Chege Kamau and Hannah Wacuka Chege. Brother of John Ndung’u Chege, Margaret Wangui Mwangi, Peter Kamau Chege, late Jecinta Wangari Kariemu, Julia Njeri Chege and Mary Wambui Kihia. Husband of Nancy Njoki Mahia. Father of Christopher Chege Mahia (U.S.A), Jemimmah Nduta Mahia, Nicholas Ndirangu & Zipporah Ndirangu, and Dorothy Wambui. Grandfather of Kayllum Chege, Lissa Njoki, Esther Nyokabi, Ethan Kinuthia and many others.

Formerly of Architectural Association of Kenya.

Devoted wife of Joseph Mulondo. Loving mother to Rachel, Samson, Timothy, Solomon, Sarah, Amos and Diana. Daughter of the late Zakayo and Miriyeri Kagombero. Sister to Edith Odhuba, Ida Wanendeya, Beatrice Kagombero, Florence Magumba, the late Christopher Mwanja, the late Paul Kabbale, Martin Kagombero, Patrick Kyoyetera. Mother in law to Mercy Mulondo and Grace Malietso Mulondo, and adoring grandmother to Babirye, Ethan, Grace, Keith, Nicole, Shantal, Kuithum and Javin.

Husband of Alice Wacuru, Teresa Waithera and Florence Mweni. Loving father of Ann Wanjiku, Wairimu, Michael Muturi, Wanjiru, Wanjiku, Michelle, Ruguru and Wanjiku. Brother of Ruguru, Wambui, Lena, Kimani Jolly (Lopha Travels) Kimani (Tito), Mungai (Meta), Kirima, Ruguru Muti, Wanjiru (wa Muranga), Stephen Mbugua (Asst Senior Chief Ruaka), Mbugua (Munro), Kaguara, John Waigwe (Mombasa), Karanja, the late Robert Kimiti and the late Henry Kimiti. Betty Anyango Yieke

We regret to announce the demise of Mrs. Betty Anyango Yieke after a short illness.

Betty was the wife to the late Mr. Stephen Olulo Yieke. Mother to the late Winnie Akinyi Frank Odhiambo, the late James Olulo, Thomas Yieke and Sheila Yieke.

Loving grand mother and great grand mother. Daughter in law to the late Chief Jacob Oluk of Sakwa, Siaya County and daughter to late Samuel and Elseba Josiah of Karadolo, Ugenya. Sister to the late Michael Josiah, Dr. Apia Akena, Ambassador Green Josiah, Dr. George Josiah, Ambassador Frost Josiah, the late Mrs Jane Adewa, the late Emma Josiah, Steve Josiah, James Josiah and Tom Josiah.

A memorial service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Kisumu at 2 pm on Friday, 30 October 2020.

Internment will be at her home in Sakwa, Siaya County on 31 October 2020.

Loving Father of Edwin Waihenya, Evelyn Wanjiru, Ethan Muturi, Esther Muthoni (SA), Virginia Wachera and Emma Diana Wanjira. Father-in-law of Kennedy Kariu, Eunice Wambui, John Muiru and Basil Kyuti.
