Dr Francis Okumu Ochola

It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely demise of Dr Francis Okumu Ochola on 26th March 202I at MTRH following a short illness. He was the Director, Stamed Pharmacy Ltd., Eldoret and a lecturer at the School of Medicine, Dept of Pharmacology, Moi University.

Husband of the late Alice Okumu and Pamela Khamasi. Son of the late Athanasio Ochola Okumu and the late Mama Teresa Juma Ochola. Son-in-law of John and Mama Prisca Nyang’or of Ng’iya; Hosea and Mama Esther Khamasi of Khayega. Father of Dr Mitchel Otieno (JOOTRH/UoN), Patrick Okumu (UoN), Ted Francis Juma (Moi University), Dr Henry Okumu (KNH), Ryan Amilkah (Testimony School), Asha Maina (Mukumu High) and Imani Wanjiku (Highlands Academy).

Brother of Jared, Julius, Edward, Susan Otieno, Betty Kamenya; Monica Nyaoro, Amos Ochola, Dr Alice Tindi (all of USA); Maxwell, Norman, John, Borne, Caren and Herine (all deceased), among others. Brother-in-law of Edward, Okumu Ochola Samson, Boaz, Millicent (USA),Wycliffe Somba, Helen Gaya, Peninah Ochola, among others.

Uncle of Felix, Nelson, Wilson, Joash, Paul, Dora, Moshe, Grace, Mildred, Betty, Polycarp Ochola, Dishon Otieno, Amos, Steve, Trezah Nyaoro and Adam Mohamed, among others.

Fund-raising Is today 31st March, 2021, at his Kapsoya residence (Mariakani), Eldoret.

Prayers and funeral arrangements are on-going at his Kapsoya home.

The cortege leaves MTRH Mortuary on Friday 2nd April, 2021, for burial at his Koru home, Kisumu County on the same day.

It’s God who gave us Francis and it is Him who has taken him away. May His name be praised forever. Amen!

Appreciation

Just over 2 months, since he left us, we the family of the late Wycliffe Ngaira Amache remain deeply grateful to our family, friends, neighbors, pastors, colleagues and well-wishers, who walked with us during his Illness and took Om to support and condole with us at the time of his passing. We are deeply grateful for your uplifting prayers, phone calls and messages, tributes, visits with us at home, In-kind & financial support.

Special mention to committed team of doctors and medical staff who throughout his illness, gave their dedicated service towards Wycliffe. The befitting funeral service accorded to Wycliffe could not have been possible without the dedication of the Funeral Committee and all the attendant service providers who worked with them; as well, the leadership of Friends Church, Muliudu. We can’t thank you all enough.

12th April, I 993 — 15th March, 2021

We are saddened to announce the demise of Weldon Kipsang Ben formerly of the US Navy which occurred on 15th March, 2021 in Norfolk City, Virginia (USA).

He was the Iastborn child of Ezekiel Kipchumba Langat (EKAU Manager) and the late Tecla (Lucio) Langat of Kapsogut Village, Bureti, Kericho County and a stepson to Leah Langat. Grandson to late Mr. & Mrs. Kiplangat Koimulong and the late Mr. & Mrs. Chepkulul. Kipsang was a brother to Selina Korir, Lily Chepkoech, Betty Langat (KPC Nakuru), Jennifer Langat (Teacher, Mombwo Pri. Sch.), Caroline Mutai, Robert C. Bert (Archaid Consultants Group), Gilbert Bett (KETRACO, Suswa) and Judy Ouko (Zomato Kenya). He was a step brother to Linda Chepkorir, Josephine Chepngetich, Leonard Bett, Betty Cherono, Beatrice Chepkirui, Jackline Chepkemoi and Mercy Chemutai. Brother in law to Elijah Korir, Richard Mutai, Jackline Bett, Albert Langat, Wilson Ouko, Cosmas Kirui and Daisy Bett and a doting uncle to several nieces and nephews.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi on Wednesday, 31st March, 2021 for a burial to be held the same day at home in Kapsogut Village – Litein, Bureti Sub County, Kericho County.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, chat we announce the demise of Mr. Siephen Waragah Kamau that occurred on Saturday 27th while undergoing treatment at The Outspan Hospital Nyeri. He was the Director of Waragah Enterprises and Evangelist/Rev with Kenya Assemblies of God Church.

He was loving Husband to Dorcas Nyokabi Waragah. Darling father to Rachael Wangui Waragah. Son to the late Joseph Kamau Wanjohi and Rachael Wangui Kamau. Brother to Wanjiru, Wanjohi, Mwihu, Wangari, Ndegwa, Kigoiho, Wachuka, Kairu, Muthoni, Maina, Wang’ondu and Waiihera. He was Uncle to many.

The Cortege will leave Outspan Funeral Home in Nyeri on Thursday 1st April, 2021 at 8:00AM. The burial ceremony will take place on the same day at his farm near Zion City Nanyuki.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Mortuary (By-Pass) on Thursday 1st April 2021 at 8.00am for his Munyu Farm Magana.

Relatives and friends are meeting at his Kamuthi home daily from 3.30pm for arrangements and prayers.

Husband to Beth Wangari Mweha. He was the son of the Late Justus Gatome and Sophia Njeri Gatome. Son in law of the Late Isaac Mwangi and Mika Njoki. Loving father to Njoroge/Alice, Mwangi/Ann, Karanja, Emily Njeri, Wanyange/ the late Susan, Njiiri/Janet, Njuguna/Lucy Na Sophie Njeri Brother to Cecilia Wambui, the Late Ben Karanja, Gladys Wangari, the late Janet Wamukore, the late Grace Wanjiku, the late Helina Wambui Josephine Wanjiku and Tabitha Wamukore.

Friends are meeting at his home in Membley estate and Karandi in Kinyona.

The cortege leaves Kabati Montezuma Funeral Home at 7am on the 1st of April 2021 and thereafter burial service at his home in Karandi, Kinyona location Murang’a County.
