Sarah Mwendwa Klaibuni

It’s with great humility and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Sarah Mwendwa M’Iaibuni.

She was a daughter to the late Mr M’ mukembu and Mwonguthari M’ mukembu. She was a loving wife to the late Jeremiah M’laibuni Kibua. She was a loving mother to the late Henry Mworoa, the late Stanley Kimbira, John Kaumbuthu, Salome Cioruiro, Samwel Kirema, Abraham Koronya, Rael Kananu and Joyce Nkatha.

She was mother-in-law to Harriet Thirindi, Charity Inokobia, Jocyline Muthoni, the late Rose Mwari, Jane Kanario, Joyce Kinya, Peter Mung’athia, Isaiah Nthuku and Paul Kobia.

She was a grandmother to Florah Nkatha, the late Charles Kinyua, Mercy Kawiria, Perry Nkatha, Peter Muthuri, Timothy Kimathi, Sally Mwendwa, Emily Gakii, Lizqueen Kendi, Eric Murithi, Eva Gatwiri, Jeremiah Mutembei, the late Deborah Ntinyari, Faith Nkirote, Daniel Muthomi, David Mwendi, Amos Koome, Kenneth Munene, Bernard Kimami, Paul Mutwiri, Miriam Mwonjaru, Joel Muriungi, the late Michael Birithu, Elizabeth Muthenya, Sophia Kaloina, Agnes Mukiri, Stanley Kimathi, Julius Mutiiria, Timothy Mwenda, Zakayo Kaora, Joshua Muthomi, Veronicah Kathambi, the late Patrick Kaberia, James Karani, Faith Kagendo, John Mung’athia, Agnes Kaloki, Emily Karendi, Antony Mwenda, Naomi Kawira and many great grandchildren.

Was aunt to Kalung’ e, Thirindi, Silas, Joshua, Stephen, Nkui, Ikamati, Mwoburi, Ngiliki, Mwenje, Ciatua, Kibui, Lantana; the late Kilemi, Kanario, the late Thuranira, Rose, Kinoti, Muthoni among many others.

Prayers and meetings are being held daily at her son Abraham Koranya’s home at Matiandui Village.

The cortege will leave St. John’s of God Tigania Hospital mortuary on Friday, 3rd, June, 2022 for funeral service at Gichanine Methodist Church and later interment at Koronyas’s home in Matiandui Village, Kangeta Location, Igembe Central, Meru County.

Appreciation

We the family of James Karanja wish to appreciate all who consoled with us as we celebrated the life of Hannah Wangechi Karanja.

We particularly thank the Doctors, Dr. Manel and her oncology team, Dr. Nolen and all medical personnel who took care of Hannah.

We also would like to recognize Fr. Njenga (Cathedral Church-Nyahururu), Fr. Patrick, CWA (Mary Immaculate-diocese of Nyahururu), St. Faustina SCC, family and friends or their prayers, tremendous support and officiating the funeral service.

Special thanks to the funeral organizing committee who worked tirelessly to deliver a befitting celebration of Hannah Karanja’s life.

Son of the Fate Kanja Kathendu and the late Rudiah Wamugwe. Husband to Eunice Ruguru Meru. Father to Florence Muthoni Magi, Wanjira. E. Mureithi (Advocate). Peter Muchangi Kanja, George Kithaka Njeru, Elizabeth W. Benson (Formerly of K.R.A.), the late Christopher Njagi, Charles Muriithi, John Kariuki, Patrick Ndwiga Njeru (K.PA) and Samuel Njue. Father-in-law to P.P Mureithi, Peninah M. Kania (TSC) and Florence Wambura Kariuki.

Brother to the late Francis Mugo, the late Agness Wanyaga, Joseph Kathuri, the late Judith Kanini and Mary Gichuku (Ngong), Harrison Gicovi, Margaret W. Nthiga (RTD Teacher), Patrick Kariuki (Muthoga Benson Njeru Kanja.

Cherished uncle to Patrick Niue (CITAM Gaturu Advocate) and many others. He was a doted grandfather and a great father to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his Kairuri Home from 3:00pm.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home, Embu on 3rd June, 2022 at 9:30 am for service and final internment at his Kairuri Home, Manyatta Embu County.

Loving Wife to Michael Wanzetse Omusula of National Environment Management Authority. Beloved mother to Joy Wanzetse, Jayden Wanzetse and Jean Wanzetse. Daughter to Dr. Charles Mutaki and Mrs. Ruth Mutaki (formerly of Webuye County Hospital). Sister to Linah Mutaki, Sammy Wafula, Mike Simiyu, Hon. Irene Naswa, Esther Mutaki and Anne Mutaki.

Daughter-in-law to the late Charles Omusula and Mama Flora Omusula of Iranda Village. Sister-in-law to Ruth Ofisi, Julius Emitati, Annah Omusula,Wilfred Omusula, Janet Omusula, Betty Omusula, Luka Omusula, Julia Omusula and Rasto Omusula.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Ekama Village in Mumias and at her father’s home at Site Estate, Webuye.

The cortege leaves Kimbilio Hospice Kipkaren on Wednesday, 1st of June, 2022 at 9.00am for a brief prayer session at Webuye before proceeding to her home at Ekama, Mumias. Burial will take place on Thursday, 2nd of June, 2022 at Ekama village.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mrs. Ruth Awino Ondu which occurred on Sunday, 22nd May, 2022.

She was the daughter of the late Joshua Mboga Yoga and the late Grace Nyonguko Mboga. She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Boaz John Ondu Onyuna. She was the mother to Jemima Ondu, Lilian Ondu, Duncan Ondu, Wycliffe Ondu, Erick Ondu, Joshua Mbogha Ondu, Evans Ondu,Victor Ondu and the late Martin Ondu.

Her daughters-in-law are: Dr. Rose Kathambi, Emily Mitoko, Beryl Awuor, Jane Amunga, Verine Mwamba and Elizabeth Sikuku. She leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was a sister to Jerusa, Rhoda, Yunia, Ada, Prisca, Sam, George, Barrack, Gedion, Aggeorgy, Rocket, and the late Phoebe, Alice, Fred, Narkisho and Enosh. Her in-laws were Caren, Peres, Herit, Martha, Emelda, Pamela and Mercy and uncle to Charles Anyumba.

She was a sister-in-law to Elmada Asewe, Musa Onyuna, Silpa Owino, the late Claudio Ochiewo and the late Mathlida Ayata. Others are Monica Adhiambo, Penine Asewe, Angeline Agumba, Siprosa Agumba and the late Penina Ochiewo.

The cortege leaves Bethlehem Annex Funeral Home in Tol on Friday, 3rd June, 2022. Burial will take place on Saturday, 4th June, 2022 at her home in East Koguta, Sigoti, Upper Nyakach Division, Kisumu County from 9.00 a.m.

Even in death we still love you mama. Rest well with the angels till we meet again.

Joseph Kamande Kamande Wamariko

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Joseph Kamande Wamariko of Kanyeki-ini Village, Gatitu Location, Kandara Sub-County.

Son of the late Mark Murikwa and Bernadette Wanjiku. Husband to Mary Nyambura Kamande.

Father to the late Michael Murikwa, Basilio Mwaura, Perpetua Wanjiku, Susan Wanjiru, Elizabeth Wambui, Moses Guchu, Catherine Njoki, Joshua Kamau, Alice Muthoni and Virginia Wangui.

Brother to Elizabeth Wanjiru, Kennedy Guchu and the late Simon Ng’ang’a. He was a grandfather and great grandfather to many.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home (Kabati) on Thursday, 2nd June, 2022 at 8.30am. The funeral service will be held at Gatitu – Rurii Catholic church at 10.00 am and burial thereafter at his home in Kanyeki-ini – Gatitu.

Mzee Mathews Obuo Okendo

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Mzee Mathews Obuo Okendo which occurred on Sunday 22nd May, 2022.

He was the son of the late Joab Okendo and Late Teresa Odero. Husband to Jane Alice Obuo. Father to Caren Awuor, Paul Obuo, Martin Obuo, Joyce Achieng, the late Mark Obuo and Naboth Obuo.

Brother to the late Mary Newa, the late Samuel Oguna, the late James Ombima, Dinah Osewe, the late William Ndolo, the late Lorna Auma, Philip Ayoki and Margaret Oketch.

Father-in-Law to Naphtali Omondi, Beatrice Odera, Lilian Okumu-Obuo, Daniel Abuya and Lydia Sanya. He has left behind 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Star Mortuary, Kisumu on Friday, 3rd June, 2022 at 2.00 p.m. for his home in Tie Roya Village near Reru Market. Burial will be held on Saturday, 4th June, 2022, starting at 10.00 a.m. at Mzee’s homestead.

We the Njenga family wish to sincerely thank all our friends and family for the overwhelming support accorded to us during the illness and subsequent loss of our beloved Wangeci. Thank you for the blood and platelets donated in attempt to save her life.

A big thank you Dr. Kiarie, Dr Prisca, Dr Ochieng, Dr Muhindi and The Nairobi Hospital staff as well as KUTRRH and the staff of Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home for their care. We are also grateful for all the overwhelming financial support for the home visits and all the prayers.

Thank you Muchai for organizing security and Mwaura Gathunguri for the donation of water during the funeral. We were comforted to see those who made it to funeral service both in person and virtually.

Loving mother of Dr. Wanjiru Kariuki, Phyllis Wairimu Kariuki, Dr. Simon Mwangi Kariuki and Joyce Waithira Mwangi and Jane Muthoni Kariuki.

Grandmother to Maxwell Mureithi, Betty Wanjiku, Amani Wambui, Sifa Wanjira, Angela Wambui, Sandra Cheptoo and Tenn Kipkemboi.

Sister to the late Mary Wanjiku, Abija Wangeci, Ruth Wangari, Prof. Helen Njenga and Harrison Mwangi.
