It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce the transition of David Gathungu Kigwa (DG), that occurred on 26/08/2022 at the Outspan Hospital – Nyeri.

Beloved husband to Rt. Elder Dorothy Wangui Gathungu of Nyakahuho. Beloved son to the late Kigwa Wanjohi and Wangechi Kigwa. Son-in-law to the late Samson Mbuthia and Jesse Wambui of Kiriaini. Brother to the late Wanjiku Muchoki and Wanjohi Kigwa.

Father to Lilies Wangechi, Sisy Wambui, Wellington and Dr. Rebecca Kigwa, Emma Wanjiku, Samson and Mercy Mbuthia and Dr. Joan Gathungu.

Loving Grandpa to Ian Mbogo, Ian Kigwa, Nick Mbuthia, Wangui Wangechi, Nelly Mbuthia, Dorothy Wangui and Elaine Muthoni. Great-grandpa to Purple and Kigwa

Friends and relatives are meeting daily from 2.00pm for prayers at his Nyakahuho Residence.

The cortege will leave the Outspan Hospital – Nyeri, on Saturday 3/09/2022 for the burial service at Nyakahuho PCEA Church – Karindi, Mukurw-eini. Thereafter his interment will be held at his Nyakahuho Residence.

She was a caring mum to the late Esther Muthoni (Barclays Plaza), Cllr Rahab Wairuri (Naivasha) and the late Sarah Waihiga (Kwanza International School). She was a doting grandma to Lydia Melissa Wangui, Esther Sheila Wanjiru,Adam Chomba, Carlsam Gituma and Edgar Karaya. Great-grandma to Aleina Renee Chomba.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Lay Canon Wycliffe Awuori Mutsune which occurred on 28th August, 2022.

Husband to Myra Mutsune. Father to Roselyne Namukhono, Patrick Awuori and Emmanuel and Serah Mutsune. Brother, in-law, uncle and grandfather to many.

Mother to Purity Nyambura, Esther Waithera, Samuel Muchemi, Mary Wangu, Leah Wairimu, Alice Njeri, the late Simon Mbuthia, Jane Wanjira, Gladys Ngima. Auntie Wait to Juliet Wanjiru and others. Mother-in-law to Karani, Waweru, Josephine, Riri, Mungai and Ochieng. She was a grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are meeting at her home in Kiaritha-ini, Karatina.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Friday, 2nd September, 2022 from 7:30am. Funeral service will be held at Kiaritha-ini PCEA Church followed by the burial at her home in Kiaritha-ini village, Karatina, Mathira East.

Son to Francis Mboya Muthami and Margaret Mboya. Brother to Antony Muthami, David Muteti, Vatta Mboya, Julius Mboya. Fiance to Emily Mueni.

Grandson to the late Muthami Ikuni and the late Vatta Muthami and the late Munyoki Ngesu and Mukai Munyoki.

A beloved nephew to Muimi,the late David, Titus Muthami, Peninah Muthami, Sammy Munyoki, Mali, Jacinta, Rosa, Ruth, Maggy and Ken, among others and a cousin to many.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing in Nairobi and at their rural home Kauma, Kitui County.
