Mary Gathoni Mbugua

1922 – 2023 (101 Years)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mary Gathoni Mbugua.

She was a loving wife to the late Jotham Mbugua Mwenja. She was co-wife to the late Priscilla Wangui and Mama Hawa Mbugua Mwenja. She was the mother to the late Marion Wambui Kang’ethe, Peter Mwenja, the late Tom Ng’ang’a Mbugua, Charles Ngugi Mbugua – CN, Samson Kimani Mbugua of Danga Hotel – Ruiru, Jemimah Wambui Kinyanjui, Isaac Njenga Mbugua and John Mbugua Baba Kellen. Grandmother to many. She has left several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Meetings and prayers are being held at Kiamwangi Kahenia from 4.00pm everyday.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 8.00am on Thursday 02/03/2023. Funeral service and burial will be held at her home in Kiamwangi Kahenia Location.

Peter Wanyutu Gatungo

It is with heavy hearts that we sadly and humbly accept the will of God following the demise of Peter Wanyutu Gatungo.

Son of the late Simon GatungoThotho and the late Tabitha Thoni.

Caring husband to Damaris Wanjiku Wanyutu of Thakwa Bookshop – Ruiru. Precious father to Simon and Alice Gatungo, Gerald & Anne Kimotho, Sam and Stella Miring’u, George and Gail Muiruri and the late Tabitha Muthoni. Adoring grandfather to Pi Wanyutu, Mark Kagia, 32 Timothy Kimotho, Sean Wanyutu, Zita Wanjiku, Zuri Wanjiku, Ethan Wanyutu and Thea Wanjiru.

Loving brother to Maina & Njeri,Njenga &Wambui, Miring’u & Njeri, Karanja & Wangui, Gachui & Waithira, Kahura & Waithira. Step brother of the late Wanyutu & Mwara, Wanjiku and Kiarie,the late Wanjiru and Nderitu, Muigana & Wambui, the late Gachui and Wanjiru, the late Nganga and Muhia & Ngendo.

Daily prayer meetings are taking place at his residence in Ruiru, Kimbo/Murera, opposite to Deliverance Church Murera, off Matangi Road.

The cortege leaves KU Teaching & Referral Mortuary (Northern Bypass) at 8.00am on Friday 3rd March 2023, followed by a Church Service at PCEA Murera at 10.00am. Thereafter, interment will be held at his home in Murera, Ruiru.

He was the light in all our eyes and a precious husband, father, brother, and friend to many. His memory will continue to beat in our hearts as we mourn the loss.

Loving husband to Harriet Nyaga (JNTI). Father to Dr. Elaine Nyaga, Eng. Nelson Nyaga, Advocate Janette Nyaga. Father-in-law to Advocate Muriuki Muriungi.

Brother to the late Albert, Bedan, Judith, Duncan (NACADA), Mary, Sicily, the late Eva, Mercy, Rose and Peter.

Son-in-law to the late Mr. & Mrs. Robert Kavuri.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home (KUTRRH) on Friday 3rd March, 2023 at 8:30am for a funeral service at Issacko Gardens – Embu, from 11:00am.

There’s a Memorial service on Wednesday from 2:00pm at Deliverance Church Embu and on Thursday at 3:00pm at KUTTRH Memorial Funeral Home.

He will be laid to rest on Friday 3rd March, 2023 at his family home in Kivwe, Kiambogo Village, Embu County.

It is with humble acceptance that we announce the death of our beloved Eng. Albert Mucira Njagi (Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Embu County), that occurred on 21St February, 2023 after a short illness.

Son of the late Edwin Njagi Gaciithire and Rosemary Runji Njagi.

Loving husband to Catherine Wambui Mucira. Dedicated father to Kevin Murimi Mucira and Vincent Koigi Mucira. Grandfather to Winner Wambui.

Felix Nambalu Simiyu

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of Felix Nambalu Simiyu of Kenya Revenue Authority, that occurred on Monday 20th February, 2023.

He was the son of Prof Vincent Simiyu and Mrs Mary Simiyu

.A loving husband to Jane Achieng. Father to Torin Kisuyi and Nuria Ndubi.

Brother to Stella Simiyu, Maureen Simiyu, Victor Sudi, Innocent Simiyu, Nato Simiyu and Lorraine Nandako. Brother-in-law to Brenda Anzagi and Audrey Obara.

Grandson to the late Sudi Wanambuko, the late Sarah Nabwala Sudi, the late Luka Wose and the late Hellena Wose. He was an uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at their family home in Nairobi at Magiwa Estate.

There will be a memorial service at Consolata Shrine (Westlands) on Wednesday, 1st March, 2023 at 2.00pm.

The burial will take place at their Bukembe home in Bungoma County on 4th March, 2023.

Burial shall take place at his home in Nyahera, Dago Thim, Karombo Village on Saturday 4th March, 2023.

Daughter to Florence Moraa and William Bogonko of Montonto. Loving sister to Martha Kerubo, Jackline Bosibori, the late Salome Nyaboke, Evans Ogamba (Imperial Academy), Jemimah Nyanchama, Wesley Ochogo, Rebecca Kwamboka, Phylis Bonareri and Kelvin Bengo.

Daughter-in-law to Lucia Kwamboka and Charles Oigo of Obwari Location Boisanga I. Sister-in-law to Emily Kerubo, Felister Nyaboke, the late Moses Nyanumba, Festus Nyakundi, Patricia Nyabonyi and Robert Nyangate (Boya Systems).

Naphtali Mungai Mureithi

It is with profound sadness that we, the family of Bedan Mungai Kaige announce the death of Naphtali Mungai Mureithi on 22nd February, 2023.

Son of Bedan Mungai Kaige and Hannah Waithera Mungai. Step-son to Mariamu Wanjiru Mungai.

Loving husband to Veronica Nyambura Mureithi. Adored father to Davis Mungai, James Mwangi and Anne Waithera. Father-in-law to Caroline Mwangi and James Nyakundi. He had five grandchildren.

Brother to Phyllis, Joel, Patrick, Maina, Kamau, Ngururi, Mwangi, Irungu, Njeri, Kaige, Wairimu, Njoroge and Sammy.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday 3rd March, 2023 at 7.00am. A funeral service will be conducted at 10.00am on the same day at the graveside at his Kinangop Farm. Burial will follow thereafter.
