Appreciaton

His Excellency Mwalimu Mutahi Kahiga EGH, the Governor of Nyeri County, and the entire family of the late Francis Githinji Hiuhu (FGH), are thankful to the Almighty God for the blessing of his life.

We want to sincerely send our appreciation to all friends of goodwill who supported us in giving our father a befitting send off.

Special thanks to His Excellency the President, Dr. William Samoei Ruto CGH, His Excellency the Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua EGH, the Secretary to the Cabinet, Mercy Wanjau, and Energy PS Alex Kamau. A huge appreciation also goes to Council of Governors and to all Excellency Governors. Special mention goes to Excellencies Kiarie Badilisha, Dr. Hillary Barchok EGH, and Dr. Eric Mutai who represented the other Governors.Thank you to all Members of Parliament from Nyeri led by the Senator Hon. Wahome Wamatinga and the area MP Hon. Njoroge Wainaina, the County Assembly of Nyeri led by the Speaker Hon. James Gichuhi, the Nyeri County Executive who came out strongly to support my family, the private sector and corporate heads led by the Managing Director Cooperative Bank Gideon Muriuki CBS, MBS Humprey Kariuki of Dalberg, David Karanja of PDSL and John Githinji (Newfortis) among others.

None of this would have been possible without the spiritual leadership of the entire Archdiocese of Nyeri led by His Grace the Archbishop Anthony Muheria and clergy from other denominations who stood by us during that difficult time, we salute you through Your Chair Ecumenical council of Bishops Bishop Dr. Paul Wanjohi.

We are grateful to the organizing committee that worked diligently to ensure that our father got an amazing memorial service and funeral ceremony.

We truly appreciate the Gatuamba fraternity for their enormous support.

To the family and friends from all walks of life led by the local friends who prayed with us relentlessly and offered their material support, may the Almighty God bless each and every one of you abundantly and meet you at your individual point of need.

It is with great sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Kenneth Oscar Olalo Osumba, who passed on peacefully in his sleep on the night of 27th March, 2023 in his house in Gem, Yala, Siaya County.

Son of George Samuel Osumba and Joyce Ngesa Osumba of Gem,Y ala, Marenyo Sub Location in Siaya County.

Brother to Harold Osumba,Susan Osumba and Ronnie Osumba and brother-in-law to William Yagomba.

Uncle to Fidel, Joe, Chantelle,Trevor, Latisha, Hadassah and Eli.

Nephew to Mr. & Mrs. Walter Odalo, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Muga, Mr. & Mrs. Dan Olalo, Justice and Mrs. Richard Kwach, Naomi Olalo, Betty Obala, among many others.

Friends and relatives are meeting at The Osumba’s residence in Sagam daily from 4.00pm.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, 7th April, 2023 at 2.00pm at Rawa St. Stephens Church.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, 8th April, 2023 at 10.00am at Sagam Primary School to be followed by interment of the body at the family home.

 

David Waweru Ndiritu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of David Waweru Ndiritu, after a short illness.

Son of Simeon Ndiritu Kanai and the late Martha Mumbi Ndiritu. Son-in-law to Benson Waweru Muini and Teresia Gathoni Waweru.

Husband of Eunice Njeri Waweru. Father of Gloria Mumbi, Bethany Gathoni and Davina Wangeci.

Brother of Michael Wachira, the late Paul Kamau, Joseph Mathenge, Stephen Gichuki, Grace Waithira and Sammy Karanja.

Memorial service will be held on Friday 31/03/2023 at CITAM – Embakasi from 2.00pm.

The cortege leaves KU Memorial Funeral Home Tuesday 04/04/2023 at 8:30am to CITAM Valley Road Church for the funeral service at 10:30am. Thereafter, interment will be held at The Lang’ata Cemetery.

It is with deep sorrow to announce the passing on of Mr. Pius Musembi Kivindu (Chairman), which occurred on Sunday the 26th March 2023 through a tragic road accident on Mombasa road.

Son to the late Francis Kivindu and Mama Teresi Syokwia Kivindu. Brother to Benard Mutua, Bonface Muasya, Dominic Mukonzi, Athanus Ndambuki, Marita Syombua, Maria Mukii, Elizabeth Wayua, Susan Loko and Justina Mwelu.

Beloved husband to Felista Ndunge Musembi. Father to Kenneth Kivindu, Jacinta Syokwia and Michelle Muluki. Grandfather to Dylan Jabali, Kylie Ndunge.

Cousin to Paul Mulau, Fr. Isenge, Richard Musyoki, Lucia Thomas, among others.

In-law to the late Benedette Munee Kilonzo of kwa Ndolo -Yatta.

There will be a mini harambee on Friday 31st March, 2023 at Inter-County Resort Athi River, next to Daystar University starting at 4.00pm.

Onesmus Githinji Mwangi

1982 to 2023

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Police Constable Onesmus Githinji Mwangi, on 24th March 2023 in Lake Victoria. He worked as a Border Control Assistant in Border Control Division, Customs and Border Control Department.

Son to Peninah Wanja Githinji.

Husband to Rose Mwelu Munyao and father to Carlos Mwangi Githinji.

Brother to late Clifford Charagu, Dennis Kimemia and Lewis Wainaina.

Son-in-law to Lawrence Munyao and Scholastica Mueni. Brother in law to Martin Maanzo, Aloise Muema, Anna Mwikali, Irene Syokau and Jane Mbithe.

Nephew to the Chombas, Ndungos, Githinjis, Irungus and Makumis and a cousin to many.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on 4th April 2023 at 8:00am for a funeral service at his home in Kiboi Village, Kahuro Sub-county, Murang’a County where he will be laid to rest.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of Mr.Anderson Barchebo Wendot of Kenya RevenueAuthority – Customs and Border Control Department, Muhuru Bay, Western Region which occurred on 24th March, 2023 after the boat capsized in Lake Victoria.

Mr. Anderson was born at Koitilion village, Kibingor Sub-location, Kimondis Location, MarigatWard, Baringo South, Baringo County in 1978. He lived in Kasoiyo Corner Shop Village, Kabarnet.

He was son of Reverend Zakaria Wendot Kimeres (FGCK, Kibingor) and Talai Wendot of Koitilion Village Marigat Ward.

Loving husband to Dorothy Kimooi Chepchieng and loving father to Eddie Kibowen (Kings Hill Academy, Kabarnet), Linus Kibet (AIC Visa Oshwal, Kabarnet) and Manoah Yator (Kings Hill Academy, Kabarnet).

Son-in-law to William Chepchieng and Miriam Kabon Chepchieng of Kabarnet.

Anne Kahaso Kea-Njoroge

We announce with deep sadness the passing of Anne Kahaso Kea-Njoroge on 28th March, 2023.

She was a cherished wife to Patrick Njoroge and a devoted mother to Louis Mwenda and Leeroy Kea.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Mzee James and Mama Charlotte Kea. A loving daughter-in-law to Mzee Vincent and Mama Esther Njoroge.

A beloved sister to Steve and Nyawira Kidunga, Sharon and Roy Chiraga, Rose and James Kaloki, Philip and Michelle Iha, Kamuche and the late Sadik.

A dear sister-in-law to Albert and Joy Kimani, Agnes and the late John Kirata, Henry and Salome Gitau, Agatha and the late Moses Ngure, Mary and Charles Mugo, the late Bernadette Wanjeri, James and Mercy Murungaru, and Paul and Lillian Nduguti.

She will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, including Claudia, Allan, Nzakwa, Arthur, Sharleti, Moffat, Kelvin, Wanjiru, Karisa, Jayden, the late baby Matthew and many others.
