Angela Wanjiku Sempele

Sunrise: 24th April, 1988 – Sunset: 22nd September, 2023

It is with profound acceptance of God’s will. that we announce the sudden passing of Angela Wanjiku (Shiku) Sempele on the 22nd of September 2023. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and dedication.

Shiku was the daughter of the late Pauline Wangu and Njeri and Solomon Sempele who served as her guardians. She was the granddaughter to the late Wallace Njeru Ngochi and Susanna Njeru and a loving niece, cousin, aunt, colleague and a friend to many.

The preparations for Shiku’s funeral and burial will take place at Mocah Courtyard, Kiburu Githua Lane, Thindigua, daily from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.

The cortege will depart from KU Mortuary on Saturday 30th September 2023 at 7.30am. Shiku will be laid to rest in Njukini, Kirinyaga County with the funeral service commencing at 10:30am.

Esther Shanice Omwenga

It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Esther Shanice Omwenga announce her untimely demise due to a grisly road accident that happened in Sultan Hamud on Mombasa Rd on 15.9.23. She was 21 yrs old.

She was the daughter of the late Onesmus Omwenga Maroko and Mary Mose. Sister to Sheila Ann and Travis Maroko.

Granddaughter to the late Jeremiah Maroko, the late Esther Nyakerario, Naomi Maroko, the late Simon Ondieki, Dinah Moraa Mose.

Niece to the Marokos (Peter, Steve, Onchari and Jeff), Justin Gichana, Peter Mosiori, Rose Gesare, Caroline Mose.

Shanice touched the hearts of many with her kind heart. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and those who had the privilege of knowing her.

There will a final fundraiser 27/09/23 at Riverside Estate, Kamulu from 2:00 pm. Your support and contribution will be highly appreciated.

The funeral service will be held on 29/09/23 at Riverside Estate, Kamulu.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Thursday, 28th September, 2023 at 7.30am for a church service and viewing at Karengata SDA Church (Opp Galleria) from 8.00am to 09.00 am and thereafter leaves for an overnight stay at his home in Keroka.

The burial will be held on Friday, 29th September, 2023 at his home in Mogweko, Nyaribari Masaba Sub-county, Kisii County.

Ssgt (Rtd) Julius Nonage Mungai

(1942 – 2023)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Ssgt (Rtd) Julius Njoroge Mungai, which occurred on 22nd September 2023.

He was the beloved son of Mungai Kamukwa and Mary Muthoni, a cherished brother to Priscillah Mugure, the late Paul Kamukwa Mungai, and the late Esther Njeri.

He was a devoted husband to Margaret Nyokabi Njoroge and a loving father to his children: Jeremiah Mungai Njoroge (Bidco) & Margaret Nyambura; Reuben Kihara Njoroge & Grace Njeri (Machakos); Paul Njoroge( Hazina) & Nancy Wambui (Thika); Dr. Mbugua Njoroge (Executive Director-Anti-Counterfeit Authority) & Dianah N. Mbugua; Rose Muthoni (Thika); and Consolata Wanjiru (Nairobi).

Mzee Njoroge Mungai was a cherished grandfather to many, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati at 9.00am on Friday. 29 September 2023 for a funeral service at his home in Rukorol Village, Kiunyu Location, Gatanga Constituency, Muranga County.

She was a daughter to the late Mzee Zakayo Oigo Bichage and the late Mama Paulina Ogake &go. She was a daughter-in-law to Selina Kemunto Olga.

She was the mother to Elias Leo (Formerly KCB), Seraphine (Formally MOA). Stephen (Former teacher), Mary (NHIF), Orina, the late Torn, Margret (teacher -Nakuru), Norah (Kenyatta University), Albert (KRA) and James Peter.

She was a grandmother to Jeremy, Terry, Cece, Joshua, William, Julie. Patrick, Michael 0., Michael S., Bravo, Sheila, Moffat, Masden, Lewis, Felister, Brenda, Victor, Brighton, Wayne, Elmer, Adrian, Carol, Allan, Nelie, Sheila, Patrick, Nyaboke, Brian, Gianna and Ivy. The cortege will leave Chrisra Marianne Hospital Mortuary on Thursday, 28′ September 2023 to Nyakegogi Catholic Parish for a requiem mass and later to her home for a night vigil.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting at home daily at 4.00pm for burial arrangements.

The fundraiser will be at home, Amariba, and Dallas, opposite Sakawa Towers Kisii, on Wednesday, 2r September 2023 at 2:00pm.

The burial ceremony will take place at Amariba SDA grounds on Friday, 29th September 2023.

She was beloved wife of James Njenga Waweru.

She was the daughter of the late John Ngugi Ragoi and the late Damaris Wanjiku Ngugi. She was a loving sister to Margaret Wambui, Samuel Ragoi, Jane Mwihaki, Evans Mbugua,Alice Ciru, Lawrence Kinyanjui and Daniel Kimani.

She was the mother to Leonard Waweru, Peninah Koigi, Margret Warutere, Charles Nienga, Stephen Kubai, Samuel Ragoi, Lawrence Kinyanjui, Paul Thairu, Geoffrey Nyoike and Damaris Githu. Mother-in-law to Catherine, Koigi, Lister, Shan, Hanifa, Carol, Zippy, Wairimu, Rachel and Dr.Wachira.

She was a Grandmother, Aunt and Friend to Many.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at the All Saints Cathedral at 10:00am on the 29/09/2023 and a private commital burial ceremony held on the same day at 1:00pm in Kiserian, Kajiado County.
