She was the adoring daughter to the late Samuel Chege Mwangi and Teresiah Waruguru Chege (Wagachango).

Loving Mother to Teresiah Waruguru Wangari, Jane Wanigu (deceased) and Samuel Chege (deceased). Grandmother to Prina Wangari and many others.

Meetings are being held everyday in Maziwa Estate for funeral arrangements at 5:00pm.

The cortege will leave KU Bypass Referral Mortuary on 01/12/2023 at 8:00am for a funeral service at her home in Murera, opposite Wankan Academy, followed by the burial ceremony at her home in Murera.

The cortege leaves St. Joseph Funeral Home in Molo on Thursday 30th November, 2023 at 10:30am for over night vigil at his Chimedi farm in Molo and burial will be on Friday 1st December, 2023 at his Farm in Molo after a Catholic mass at the same venue.

Family and friends are meeting daily from Monday, November 27th to Thursday, November 30th, at 6-8 p.m, at the Holy Family Basilica, 7th Foor.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Geoffrey Kivindyo King’oo, of The NIS, through a tragic road accident on Friday, 17th November 2023.

He was the loving husband of Gladys Mueni. Doting father to Patience Mwende and Abigael Waeni.

Son of the late King’oo Ngovi, late Juliana Nzivulu and Paulina Kamene. Brother of the late Willy, Agnes, Angelina, Nyamai, Nyiva, Mulinge, Nduku, Mutunga, Ndolo, Sila, Mumbua, Wandii, Mueni, Mutio, Mutindi, Kioko, Ngovi and Kanini.

Nephew to the late Kisyula Ngovi, the late Kimeu Ngovi, the late Monica Ndulu, the late Teresia Twili, the late Wanza Kaleve, the late Ndeto Ngovi, the late Philip Mbithi, the late Mukii Ngovi, and Simon Ngovi. Son-in-law to Alfonce Mboya and Grace Mwende. He was uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Hon. Benson Ogero Kegoro (HSC)

We regret to announce the death of Hon. Benson Ogero Kegoro (HSC), age 90, on Thursday, 16th November 2023, peacefully at his Nyaronde home in Nyamira County.

During a long, illustrious career in politics, exemplifying rare virtue, Hon. Kegoro worked with Kenya’s first four presidents, holding various elective and honorary positions, among them as Member of Parliament for West Mugirango for two terms and as a Member of the Nyanza Regional Assembly where he was Minister for Health. Still serving later in life, Hon. Kegoro became a respected community leader, mediator, mentor and spokesman who played a leading role in managing devolution affairs in Nyamira and Kisii Counties, roles he executed with legendary
wisdom and humour.

Hon Kegoro is preceded in death by his parents, Mzee Ogero Ogero and Mama Marita Bosibori . Ogero, his wives Peris Nyaboke and Bethshua Moraa, daughter Rose Marube and son Tom Kiage, siblings Sospeter Makworo, Samuel Ogembo, Samson Makori and Jones Ooga, among others. His parents in law Pastor Ezra Ogeto and Marita Bosibori, Kiage Onsinyo and Teresa Kwamboka and Pastor Agostino Moindi and Jeria Masese also preceded him.

He is survived by his wife Tabitha Nyamokami, children Jane and Samuel Abuga, Daniel Marube, Pamela and Dr. Kennedy Ondimu, George and Nelly, Paul and Isabella, Truphena and Robert Mokua, Mary and Elijah Mokaya,Asenath and Elizaphan Nuguti, and Fred and Caroline Chebet.

His surviving siblings include Nyaboke Osiemo, Billiah Sani, Rachel Rasugu, Florence Momanyi, Christine Maranga, Samuel Ongoi, Robert Gichana and Bethuel Matena.

He is also survived by several nephews and nieces including Grace Kamau, Francis Makworo, Wollen Makori, grandchildren; Edna, Lennis, Reagan, Chris, Eric, Brian, Allan, Beryl, Tom, Linda, Waveney, Lloyd, Nicole, Natasha, Justin, Jason, Tom, Monicah, Bethswa, Joy, Emmanuel, lvy, Adrian, the late Cheryl, Bianca, Betty, Tom, Natalie, Tom, Blessy, Angel, Maxwell and great grandchildren.

A funeral and memorial service will be held today, Thursday, 30th November 2023, at The Old Sanctuary of the Nairobi Central SDA Church (Maxwell) starting from 9:00 a.m.

The final celebration of Hon. Kegoro’s life and times starts at 10.00 am on Sunday3rd December 2023, at the Menyenya Primary School in Kijauri, and will be followed by the burial at his home in Nyaronde, Nyamira County.
