Amos Lemayian Sampeke Taiko

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Amos Lemayian Sampeke Taiko, which occurred on 19th December, 2023, whilst undergoing treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Born on 21st July, 1970, Lemayian was a cherished son of Moses Sampeke Taiko, Rachel Rimanto Taiko and Margaret Kulenoi Taiko.

Brother to Beatrice Lantai, Faith Ngunze, Christine Nashipae, Winfred Simantoi, Anthony Kitukei, Loice Seenoi, Purity Malaso, Ezekiel Letema and Leah Ntitoyia Taiko.

Lemayian Taiko is survived by his wife Cecilia Naisiae Lemayian and his dotting daughters: Kerryl Rimanto and Angel Reteti Lemayian.

He was son-in-law of the late Moses Naikisi and Anne Noorkiremisho Karbolo of Nairagie Enkare, Narok County.

Lemayian, a beloved uncle, cousin, brother-in- law, and friend to many, will always be cherished for the precious memories created and shared with those fortunate enough to know him.

His kindness, warmth, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.

Lemayian will be fondly remembered for his generosity, unwavering support, and the profound love that he shared, leaving an enduring impact on the Maasai community and he will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends.

Lemayian will be laid to rest on 28th December, 2023, in Kimana, Loitoktok, Kajiado County.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to all those who continue to offer support, love and condolences during this difficult time.

May Amos Lemayian Taiko rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.

Gladys Njoki Ndabi (Mama wa Hon. Speaker Ndicho)

It is with a profound sense of loss and regret that we announce the demise of Mrs Gladys Njoki Ndabi of Kanjai village, Kimathi sub-location, Ngewa Ward, Githunguri Sub-County, Kiambu County, which occurred on Sunday 17th December 2023 at Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research Hospital.

She was the wife of the late David Ndabi ole Mugegeh.

She was the doting mother of Honourable Stephen Ndicho, the late Florence Waithira, the late Johana Kang’ethe Ndabi, Simon Mbugua Ndabi and Elizabeth Wanjiku Ndabi.

She was daughter of the late Johana Kang’ethe Kiarie (also known as Gatibui wa Kiarie) and Elizabeth Wanjiku Njuguna (also known as Konje wa Gitibui)

Sister to the late John Kiarie Gatibui, the late Francis Mburu Gatibui, the late Jane Wanjiru Mwangi Munuthu and Mary Wambui Ndirima.

Gladys was grandmother of several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing at her home in Kanjai Village.

Funeral service will be on Friday, December 29th at PCEA, Kanjai Primary School grounds, from 10am.

May the Good Lord grant unto her eternal rest.

Loving mother of Maina Ngechu and Dr Waigumo Ngechu.

Daughter of the late John Wamutegi and the late Jane Mugure.

Sister of Eunice Muthoni, the late Duncan Mwenje and Monica Mwenje, the late Dorcas Chumari and John Chumari, James Mukuna and Margaret Mukuna, the late Caroline Wanjiru and Dr. Bernard Githae, Millicent Wangui and Francis Gitumboh, Catherine Wambui and Sila Muoki.

Family and friends are meeting at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, on December 23rd December 2023 from 2.00pm for burial arrangements.

The funeral service will be held at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, on 27th December 2023 from 2.00pm  – 4:00pm.

The burial date will be announced later.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved Leah Nelima, also known as Margaret Aduma, that occurred on 20th December 2023 at Kitale District Hospital.

Beloved daughter of the late Peter and Rebecca Lumbete.

Beloved wife to Peter Aduma of Bidii. Kitale.

Sister to Catherine Ochoki, Winston Masika. Anna Busumu, Ether Dungani, Solomon Kale, Elizabeth Lumbete (USA), Airen Lumbete (USA) and Wilson Galo.

The cortege will depart from Crystal Cottage Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday 3rd January, 2024, to her home in Bidii Farm where she will be laid to rest on Thursday 4th January, 2024.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the demise of Dr. Veronica Njeri Ngure, Senior Lecturer at Laikipia University on 18th December, 2023 at the Nakuru Heart Centre after a short illness

Daughter to the late Samson Ngure Gakungu and the late Tabitha Wangari.

Beloved mother to Emmah Wanjiru, Lareen Wangari, Brian Kimani and Samson Ngure. Mother-in-law to Kevin Mwendia. Grandmother to Idris Macharia and Jeanette Nyeri.

Sister to Ruth Nyawira, Esther Nyaguthii, Geoffrey Ndung’u, Grace Wangui, the late Joseph Mwangi, John Kairu and Peter Mugo. She was a beloved aunt to many.

Family and Friends are meeting daily at her home in Karuga, Kwa Governor, Nyahururu County from 3.00pm to 6.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The burial service will be held on the 29th December, 2023 at Kokoth Kateng’, West Karachuonyo, Homa Bay County.

Appreciation

The family of Mr. Samuel Gathuri Muthaka extends its deepest appreciation to the compassionate team at Kenyatta Prime Care Centre, particularly Dr. Gitura and Dr. Kanyanya, for their tireless efforts in attempting to save the life of our dearly departed Ruth Wambui Gathuri.

Special appreciation goes to Dr. Daniel of Nene Pharmacy Maragua and Maragua level 4 Hospital, for their dedicated care during Mum’s critical moments.

Our sincere thanks also goes to Jamuhuri Hospital, led by Dr. Maingi, for their valuable contribution and commitment to Mum’s well-being during her challenging medical journey.

Acknowledgment goes to the ACK Bishop of Maragua South, Rt. Rev. Julius Karanu, for the spiritual guidance and support provided to Mum and the family during these trying times.

ACK St Matthew Maragua where mum served with devotion, continues to hold a special place in our hearts. We are grateful for the community’s support and for entrusting Mum’s final journey to their care.

To the Mother’s Union Group, your steadfast presence and support have been a pillar of strength for Mum and the family. Your role in assisting with the final arrangements has been deeply appreciated.

We are grateful to our extended family from Maragua, Kikuyu and the diaspora for their prayers, phone calls, physical visits and their financial support during this challenging time.

Special appreciation goes to all our family friends, neighbours, Muranga elite school, Wairimu for catering, Lavington Security, Blixen Florist and to all who played a role in our mother’s glorious send off.

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Leah Wanjiru Muya, which occurred on 20th December, 2023.

Leah, was the wife of Titus Kiondo Muya, daughter of the late Reuben Keriri Kiguku and the late Lilian Kahaki Keriri of Elburgon, daughter-in-law of the late Rachel Njeri Muya.

Mother of Njeri Muya, Julius Muya and Wambui Mwicigi-Muya, Keriri Muya and Wairimu Keriri, Kahaki and Muema Muindi. Grandmother to Thulani, Senthwale Thandie, Siphelele, Malaika, Thayu, Wanjiru, Kavata, Katanu and Kioko.

Sister to the late Samuel Kariuki Keriri, Joseph Nyanjui , Rachel Gatama, John Kimata, Serah Njuguna, Benjamin Mbugua, and the late Eunice Waithera.

She was a sister-in-law to Lucy Wanjiru Kariuki, the late Jane Wanjiku Nyanjui, Karugor Gatama, Peris Njoki Kimata, James Njuguna, Esther Wangaru Mbugua, the late Nancy Wanjiku Nyagah, the late Gilbert Karanja
Muya and the late Benjamin Ndugi Muya.

Family and friends are meeting at 5pm on 21st December at the family home in Loresho, at 5pm, at Loresho PCEA Church on 22nd December, and at 3pm at Loresho PCEA Church on 24th December.

The funeral service and internment will be held at Nyara Tea Estate in Limuru at 10am on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
