Son of the late Waweru Wa Kahiu Koogi and the late Njoki. Husband of the Late Virginia Wairimu and Serah Wangui.

Father of Agatha Wambui, Hannah Muthoni, Jane Wangui, Paul Mwangi, Peter Maina (Vectors Mombasa), the late Anastacia Wanjiru, Dennis Ndirangu (Nakuru), Sammy Gichohi, David Mwangi, Hannah Wanjiru, Margaret Mugure and John Maina. Bother of Ndirangu, Kariuki, Nyaguthii, Njeri, Mwangi, Maina and Wachania. Father-in-law of the Late King’ori, Muita, Gititu(Nyeri), Maina(Banita), Mama Nyawira (Molo), Emma Njeri Gichomo (Mombasa), Wanjiru Njoroge (Nakuru), Muchiri Mugo (Turi). Grandfather of Stephen Mugo(USA), Lilian Maina, Becky Maina, Sarah Maina, Anastacia Nyambura, Steve Mwangi, Nyawira Mwangi, Janet Muchiri (USA), Sammy Mugo among others. Great grandfather of many.

The cortege leaves War Memorial Mortuary-Nakuru on Friday, 7th July 2017 at 9:00am for service and burial at his Farm, Ndenderu,Turi-Moto.
