Cyrus Muriuki Mathangani (Mukuu)

It is with humble acceptance that we announce the passing to glory of our beloved father Cyrus Muriuki Mathangani (Mukuu), on the 20th August, 2022. He was a prominent farmer (Waihiga Coffee Estate) and had a distinguished career as a Civil Servant. He hails from Kianjogu Village, Mathira West Sub-county, Nyeri County.

Son to the late Albert Mathangani and the late Alice Nyaguthii. Husband to the late Jane Waithera Mathangani and Grace Nyaruiru Mathangani. Brother to Ernest Mwangi, the late Grace Nyakanini, the late Joy Muthoni, the late Jean Wangui, the late Martha Wacuka, the late Esther Kirigo and the late Justus Bai.

Father to Matt, Mumbi, Mercy, Pauline, Susan (UK),Alice,Albert and Walter. Father-in-law to Sally,Terrence,Abu, Joseph and Jiji.

Grandfather to Malcolm, {Joe, Mathew and Emma (UK), Muhoti, Ciku, Ethan, Waithera, Mukuu, Jesse, Tessie, Kezzy, Teri, katya,Alexa, {the late Maya) and Mukami.

Family and friends are meeting at his home in Kianjogu Village (Waihiga Farm), for prayers and burial arrangements.

The cortege will leave Tumutumu Hospital on Saturday 27th August, 2022 for a Church ceremony to be held at PCEA – Kianjogu Church and thereafter the body will be interred at Nyeri Crematorium, as per his wish.
