Mary Nambuye Simiyu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Mary Nambuye Simiyu that occurred on Wednesday, 8th March at the Aga Khan University Hospital.

Dear wife of Prof. Vincent Simiyu, devoted mother to Stella Simiyu, Victor and Brenda Sudi, Innocent and Audrey Simiyu, Nato Simiyu, the late Felix Simiyu and Lorraine Nandako. She was grandmother to Charles, Kakai, Biketi, Nabwala, Carl, EIsa,Torin, Nuria and the late Wachiye.

Daughter of the late Lucas Wose and the late Helena Ndubi Wose. Daughter-in-law to the late Sudi Wanambuko and the late Sarah Nabwala.

Sister to Consolata Namai, Bona Wose, Lusweti Wose, the late Titus Wose and many others.

Sister-in-law to the late Richard Wanyonyi, the late Christopher Wanyama, Dorothy Kituyi and many others. She was an aunt, niece, cousin and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at their family home in Nairobi at Magiwa Estate.

There will be a memorial requiem mass at Holy Family Basilica on Tuesday, 14th March, 2023 at 2.00pm.

The burial will take place at their Bukembe home in Bungoma County on 18th March 2023.
