The Arch Deacon Joseph Harun Ogombo

It is with great sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of The Arch Deacon Joseph Harun Ogombo, formerly of Kenya Sugar Board, which occurred on 11th July 2018 bravely borne.

Son of the late Aminadab Obong’o, the late Rosa Achola Obong’o, and the late Jane Alice Obong’o. Son-in-law of the late Wilson Radier, the late Leah Radier and the late Monica Anyango Radier. Loving husband of Elizabeth Akinyi Ogombo. Father of Molly Achieng Ogombo, Rose Achola Mayoka, Hellen Ogombo Okwemba, Daniel Obong’o (POPE), Claris Ajwang Ogombo, the late Wilson Radier and many others. Grandfather of Mabel, Noel, Junior Wilson, Liz, Angel, Ruby, Shirlene, Joe and many others.

Brother of the late William Otieno, Emily Many, late Anna Awuor, late Florence Akinyi and Rev. Fr. Walter Owen. Brother-in-law of Rose Owen, Rev. Fr. Edward Radier, Arthur Radier, Aggrey Nyause, the Radier’s, the Akong’o’s, the Kisero’s, the Many’s, the Ogutu’s, the Sewe’s, and the Midiwo’s. Father-in-law of the late Daniel Odhiambo, Christopher Mayoka, Fred Okwemba Elabuna, and Mary Omondi Obong’o. Cousin of the Obong’o’s, the Randiki’s, the Odhako’s, the Auma’s, the Okatch’s and the Achola’s. Father, uncle, nephew, cousin of many others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his Nairobi residences and at his rural home Gem Kopia.

There will be fundraising for the funeral on Saturday 28th July 2018 from 3.00pm at his Nairobi residences. Contributions can also be sent to PAY BILL number 785132.

The cortege leaves the funeral Home on Thursday 2nd August 2018 for a Church Service at Church of Christ in Africa (CCA), Uhuru Cathedral at 2pm.

There will be another Church Service at Church of Christ in Africa (CCA), Dala Hera Kisumu and CCA St. Joseph Wagwer on 3rd August 2018 at 9.30am and 2.00pm respectively.

The burial shall be on Saturday 4th August 2018 at his home in Gem Kopia.
