It is with deep sadness that we the Motanya family announce the sudden passing of our dear mum Agnes Nyaboke Motanya at The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi on Monday 8th July, 2019.

Daughter of the late Timoteo Akuma Nyabando and the late Perpetua Nyanchama Akuma of Mochenwa Village, Nyamira. Wife of the late Philip Motanya. Loving Mother of the late Dr James Birundu, Jacob Maosa, Joseph Motanya, Peter Kemuma & Ann Kerubo – Nyambane. Sister of the late Teresa Masese, Nemwel Nyabando, the late James Aboko, Samson Mainye, Justus Obino,Wilson lsoe, the late Charles Mokaya, the late Karen Nyandwaro, John Borono and Richard Orina. Mother-in-law of Linet Misati, Nancy Ombongi, Fenny Kwamboka, Lillian Kemunto and Obadiah Gwaro, Korera of the late Mr & Mrs. Shadrack Misati, Mr & Mrs. Ombongi, the late Mr & Mrs Johnson Gwaro and Mr & Mrs. Charles Ondieki Sister-in-law of the late Ndigwa, the late Stephen Nyaboe, Helen Obae, the late Jeliah Oenga & Mary Kerubo. Doting Grandmother of Elvis, Sharon, Baraka, Yitzak, Cynthia, Cindy, Casey, Eugene, Philo, Netanya, Philip, Malakai, Timothy, Johnson and Nicodemus .Aunt to many.

Friends & family are consoling with the family at her Nyaituga Farm, Sinyereri Scheme in Cherenganyi. Meetings are being held in Nairobi at Railways Grounds from 6.00pm.

The main harambee to defray medical expenses will be on Tuesday, 16th July at Railways, and in Kitale at Bidii.

The cortege will depart Lee Funeral Home for Kitale on 18th July 2019. There will be prayers on Thursday at Kitale, Bidii SDA Church from 8am. Thereafter the cortege will leave on the same day for Nyaituga Farm, Sinyereri Location, Trans Nzoia East District, Trans Nzoia County for burial to be held on Friday 19th July, 2019.
