Agnes Odinah

1962 – 2023

Agnes Odinah, recently retired Principal of Buriya Girls’ Secondary School in Butula, Busia County, has died after a spirited battle with Cancer.

She was widow of the late Paul Odinah of Randago village, Marachi Central, Busia County. Beloved mother of Elly, Shem and Edgar. Mother-in-law to Maureen Yonga and Sharon Webuye.

Agnes was the daughter of the late Odindo Adiala and the late Anna Akech of Karadolo in North-West Ugenya, Siaya County. Step-daughter of Irene Odindo and Phelis Akuku.

She was daughter-in-law of the late Apollo Odhiambo and Beldina Auma.

Sister of Mary Konje, Elizabeth Mballa, Rose Binge, Joseph Odindo, Gerald Luta, Francisca Odindo, Fred Odindo, the late Anthony Odindo, Marjorie Akoth, Jacinth Aluoch, Sophie Otewe, Christine Awino and Evelyne Odindo.

Her in-laws included Joseph Wabushi, Mildred Atsieno, Bernard Webuye, Athanas Mballa, Sammy Binge, David Konje and Dorothy Odindo.

She was the loving grandmother of Zulo, Telo and Zion. Cherished In-law, cousin and She to many and an active sister in the worldwide family of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Bumala congregation.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Nairobi, on Friday June 23, 2023. She will be buried on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Randago in Marachi Central.
