Alfayo Ochong Ong’or (Ochongman)

It is with deep regret and sorrow that we announce the passing on of Alfayo Ochong’ Ong’or, popularly known as ‘Ochongman’. Mzee passed on in Kisumu on Tuesday 20th April 2021.

Husband to the late Mama Dorina Awino Ochong’. Father to the late Apollo Odhiambo, Godfrey Odiwuor, the late Daisy Omondo, Florence Ahere, the late Rose Musingo, Douglas Omondi, Beldine Ogola, Rebecca Othong’ and Tom Ochong’. Son to the late Isaac Ong’or and Grace Anyumba. Step-son to the late Rosebella Odhoch and Wilkista Agango. Son in-law to the late Amoko Agak and Rodah Amoko of Kanam Karachuonyo.

Brother to the late Teresa Omore, the late Henida Omore, the late Lorna Koro and the late Joshua Ong’or. Brother in-law to Monica Ong’or among others. Father in-law to Rodah Ochong’, Rose Ochong’, the late Daniel Omondo, Getrude Makori Ochong’, Dan Ahere, Bobby Musingo, Fred Ogola, Jackie Ochong’ and Christine Ochong’.

Grandfather to Steve, Khama, Dorine, Eric, Ben, Camila, Wadanda, Wendi, James, George, Tyra, Monday, Zibwe, Adem, Manzwi, Bella, Grace, Kerins, Omondi, Rose, Maria, Yotto, Jhnelle, and Flo. Great-grandfather to Audrey, Dorine, Robert, Ella, CJ, GG and little Daniel.

Funeral service and burial will be held on Friday 30th April 2021 at his home in Gem Rae, Nyakach, Kisumu County.
