Alice Waitherero Mathenge

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the passing to glory of Mrs.Alice Waitherero Mathenge on 2nd August, 2022.

Loving wife to the late James Mathenge Gikonyo. Devoted mum to Philip Mathenge, Catherine and Robert Githua, Veronica Mathenge, George and Betsy Mathenge and Josephine Muchogu.

Grandmother to Denzel, Shawn, Jade, Zara, Mael, Coreen and Conley. Daughter of the late Ferdinand Mwangi and Elizabeth Njeri.

Beloved sister to the late Livingstone Gichimu, Gladys Wanjiku, the late Harrison Njuguna and Julius Manyeki. Sister-in-law to the late Rose Gichimu, Virginia Manyeki, Isaac Mwangi, the late Josephine Wacera, Catherine Watetu and Steven Ndugu among others.

In-law to Wilfred Githua, Joyce Githua, the late Abraham Mwangi, Ruth Kabura Mwangi and Susan Wacuka. Much loved aunty, cousin, friend and mentor to many.

Friends and family will meet for prayers at the All Saints Cathedral Nairobi at 5.00pm on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th August, 2022.

Funeral service shall take place on Friday, 5th August, 2022 at All Saints Cathedral from 12.00pm.

The burial will take place on Monday, 8th August, 2022 from 11.00am at Ihururu, Nyeri County.
