It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Andrew Gituma M’igweta (Kandaki) former Mayor Meru Municipal Council which occurred on Tuesday, 02/05/2023.

Son to Late Daniel Gituma M’igweta, Late Njaruni Ciomarete and late Margret Nkina.

Beloved husband to Angelina Gituma (Amina). Father to Fridah (Meru County Government) & Eng. Mugambi (Dir. Roads & Transport- Kisii County Government), Jane (Meru County Government) & Mugiira (Builtec Services), Priscila Karambu (Business-Nanyuki), Godfrey Kinoti (Kisii), Late Gilbert Guantai (Shtepper), Gabriel Murangiri (Mewass) & Muthoni and Glory Nkirote.

Brother to Annmaria Murugu, Late Luka Kimathi Mungania, Marieta Mwarania, Lucy Muthamia, Justus Muthurania, the late Tarasila Mutabi, Johnson Mwenda (Kimataifa), the late Michael Mwiti, Rosemary Mwari, John Mbaabu, Francis Kaimenyi, Rhoda Mukiri, David Muthee and Florence Mutwiri (Chief Principal Chuka Girls).

Son-ln-Law to Late John M’itunga M’ethie, Late Asha M’itunga and Late Zipporah Gatumo. Brother-In-Law to Mary Kibang’a, Late Susan Kajuju, Stephen Raibuni, Late Francis Nturibi, Florence Karuru Kirimi, Late Grace Mukiri, Samuel Kinyua, Catherine Mwendwa Mutuma, Lucy Naitore Lobo, Hassan Ndarige, Mohammed Kichwa and Jamila Shami.

Grandfather to Brian, Patricia, Collie,Tessie, Tamasha, Toshi, Blessing, Bobbie, Yaffit, Beula, Pasquel and Aziel. He was uncle, friend and mentor to many,

Family and friends are meeting daily at his kinoru home next to saleem academy for prayers and burial preparations from 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves St.Theresa Mission Hospital Kiirua on Thursday, 11/05/2023 at 9.00am. Mass will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church Gitoro thereafter he will be laid to rest at his Kinoru home next to Saleem Academy.

In God’s hands you rest in our hearts you will live forever. AMEN.
