It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Ann Wairimu Macharia of Noon Kopir, Kitengela on 28th April, 2023.

Daughter of the late Waichinga Kareithi and the late Margaret Wamucii.

Wife of Dr. Stephen Macharia of Karatina University. Mother of Ruth Wandia (The Technical University of Kenya), Sharon Wamucii (Machakos University) and Rebecca Muthoni (KCA University).

Sister of John Kareithi (Karatina), Esther Nyaviira (Nyahururu), Elder Geoffrey Thumbi (Nyeri), Lydiah Gathigia (Karatina), Elizabeth Mumbi (Nairobi), Jackson Njogu (Nairobi), Peter Muruga (Nairobi) and the late Samuel Kaburia and the late George Murage.

Sister-in-law of Rose Muthoni (Maragwa), John Muturi Macharia (Embu) and Ann Njoki Kagwi (Murang’a).

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at their home, Kitengela and rural home at Karatina for prayers and burial arrangements at 4.00prn.

The cortege leaves Karatina Jamii Hospital Funeral Home at 9.00am on Saturday, 6th May, 2023 for funeral service and burial at their home from 10.00am at Gikororo, Karatina, Nyeri County.
