Ann Wanjiku Wachira

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Ann Wanjiku Wachira on 17th March, 2022 after a long illness.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Muriuki Mathenge and the late Esther Wacuka Muriuki.

Beloved wife of William Wachira Gitimu, Director Wilka Pump Engineering Works and formerly of Total Energies.

Daughter- in-law to Nancy Wangui Mirera. Mother to Alex Wachira {Wa-Total} of Faida Investments Bank, Nancy Nderitu of Bellevue Health Centre, Valentine Wachira of Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company and Purity Wachira (Australia).

Mother-in-law to Edith Gatari Kamau of Nairobi Hospital, Boniface Nyawira (Saudi Arabia) and Blasio Ikundo of Blane Plumbers.

Sister to the late Florence Wanjiru,Veronica Muthoni, the late John Mathenge, Lucy Mumbi, the late Agnes Nyokabi, Patrick Muriuki,Alice Kinyua and Andrew Muriuki.

Sister-in-law to Maina wa Nancy, Mwangi (Icago), Njeri Mirera, Wanjiru Mirera, Wangeci Maina, Rosemary Mwangi, the late Ngatia Wahome, William Mwangi, Wamuyu Mathenge, the late Richard Gachinga, the late Purity, Pastor Nicholas Kinyua and Eva Kibathi. Grandmother to Erica,Annrita, joy Esther, Favour, William, Tertius Nelson and Aquila.Aunt to Esther, Priscilla, Joan, Petronila, Remo, Muriuki, Caleb, Linus among others.

Friends and family members are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at her home in Naro Moru, St Paul Catholic Chapel, University of Nairobi (St.Augustine Hall) at 5:00pm and at her son’s home in Kahawa Sukari.

The cortege leaves Nanyuki Cottage Hospital on Thursday 24th March, 2022 at 8:00am.

Funeral service and burial at her home in Naro Moru from 11:00am.

A light has gone out of our live, but our happy memories remain. Amen!
