Anna Dickson Marete (Kirunya)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of the late Cllr. Anna Dickson Marete (Kirunya) of Marlene Location, Imenti Central Division, Meru County which occurred on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.

Daughter of the late Paramount Chief M’Mwirichia wa Mabura and the late Muchuri wa M’Mucheke Tantinku. Daughter in-law of the late M’IKiugu and the late Maritha. Wife of the late Dickson M’Marete. Devoted and loving mother of Janice & Jacob Mwirigi, Pam & Hon. Joseph Malebe, Catherine & Geoffrey Gakure, Mwebia (Castro) & Josephine Marete, the late Martin & Stella Kinoti, the late Jim Guantai & the late Lucy Karea, the late Titus & Faith Kimathi, the late Jotham Muriungi and Mwenda Marete (CBK) & Salome Mwenda. Also Catherine & Stanley Muriithi. Sister of the late Susan Karimi, the late Jonathan M’Kibwi and the late Hon. Kabeere M’Mbijjewe amongst many. She was an adored grandmother to 23 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was an aunt and friend to many.

Prayers and funeral arrangements are being held daily at her home in Kathima Village, Marlene and at Nairobi Pentecostal Church (CITAM), Valley Road from Wednesday 10th to Friday 12th January, 2018 starting from 5.30pm.

The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home on Tuesday, 16th January, 2018 at 8am for funeral service at St. John Methodist Church, Mariene, Meru County at 11am. Thereafter, burial at her home in Kathima Village near Marlene Coffee Research Station.
