Grandmother of Wangari Kariuki, Kinyanjui Kariuki & Kinyanjui Muiruri. She was daughter to the late Sospeter Muiruri & the late Hellen Muiruri. Sister to Josephine, Lydia, the Late Ngige, Andrew, Silas, Pharis, Nyamweru, Fredrick & Margaret. Daughter-in-law to the late Wilson Kariuki & the late Esther Kariuki. Sister-in-law to the Late Martha, Harun, the late Nahashon, Johana, Penis, Samson, Rev Njoroge, Isaac, Githinji, the [ate Waweru, Mwai, the late Mwaura, the Late Wangari, Muthoni, Wanjiru & Wahito. She was cousin and aunt to many.
