Apollo Washington Owiti Njiri

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr.Apollo Washington Owiti Njiri of East Asembo location, Nyandiwa village which occurred on 27th April 2022 at Port Florence Hospital, Kisumu.

He was the son of the late Njiri Odhiambo and the late Obonyo Nyar Odawa.

Beloved husband to the late Mama Pamela Akinyi Owiti of Alego bar-agulu Siaya County.

Father to Esther Otieno, the late George Oiro, Thomas Otieno (TJ), the late Shem Odhiambo, Millicent Owiti, the late Rosemary Akoth, Jane Apollo and Norah Gwada. Special father to Dr. Alice Abok and Monicah Achoch. Uncle to the Alandos.

Father in law to Rev. David Otieno, Fred Sire, Julius Gwadah, Pamela Otieno, Millicent Odhiambo.

Grandfather to Michelle, Ivy, Audrey, Eunice, Arthur, Jectone, Christine, Sheila, Roney, Melissa, Brenda, lan, Joanna, Marvin, Emmanuel, Shammah, Shekhina, El Emet, Eugene, Eugenia, Ursula, Keith, Daphne and Apollo. Great grandfather to Brighton, Kyle and Julius Gwada Jnr.

The cortege leaves Port Florence Hospital on Friday 13th May 2022.

The funeral service will take place at St Phillips Church, Wera, and the burial will take place at his home Nyandiwa village, East Asembo, Siaya County on Saturday 14th May 2022.

A fundraiser to support the family with funeral arrangements will be held on Monday 9th May 2022 at YWCA, Mamlaka Road, opposite Shelter Afrique from 5:30pm.
