    PAUL APELI says:

An annointed apostle by whom the Almighty transferred miracles, signs and wonders of the Early Church to our times. I enjoyed not only reading but also listening to him; I would not get enough of the man of God, for his sermons were full of spritual insights and anticipation.
I thank God for such a life as my compatriot here and hereafter!
My condolences to the bereaved family. Praise Jesus! God bless!

The Late Dr. Joe Kayo: Tribute to an authentic Apostle

The Eagle has landed! Apostle Dr. Joe Kayo was the real deal, soaring above the rest, the game-changer! He made ministry attractive, faith became “real” in his preaching and teaching, and God became relevant as the liberator of the Africans spiritually, economically, and psychologically!! There are individuals that history places in an exclusive space! Apostle Kayo was among the selected few whose mission and passion accorded them an opportunity to change history constructively and singlehandedly establish an authentic, independent, and proud African church. More than any preacher, politician, lawyer, teacher, or other discipline has theologically and sociologically influenced Kenya East and Central Africa and the world overtly or covertly more than late Dr. Kayo.
The Apostle’s calling to the ministry came when Kenya was under British rule, Africans were under colonial domination, and were simply servants of the colonizers; Kayo refused the second-class status delegated to African ministers and extended it to fellow African ministers. He would challenge the missionaries to treat Africans with respect and African pastors to trust God and teach their congregations to trust God and be economically independent.
Dr. Kayo used his apostolic calling to help ministries across all denominations grow their ministries. He generously gave to Pastors! He traveled extensively to preach the gospel and was supported locally, unlike the other churches that depended on Western aid to survive. I’m a product of His ministry; Pastor Kayo had come to Maseno and spoke at Siriba College and gave my heart to Christ in 1973.
Finally, my condolences to Mama Rose and the family! Thank you for your quiet presence and support of our hero and Dad! May God comfort you with his amazing grace full of peace!
