In Loving Memory/1st Anniversary/Appreciation

Today 14th January 2019, marks a year since you were called to Glory. Daddy! We are strong because our God of all comfort has been with us. Your love and faith has sustained us knowing that you are in a great place, Heaven.

Today you are remembered by your loving wife Arch Bishop Dr. Winnie Owiti, your children Eddie, Eve, Bob and Tommy, your grandchildren particularly Tom Oduor (USA) and great grandchildren, your extended family, and VOSH National Council of Elders.

We, take this opportunity, on this first anniversary of your home-going, to thank everyone who showed us love and made your home-going a beautiful celebration of Christ, our risen King. We are deeply indebted to our extended families for their love, the entire VOSH church and its College of Bishops, The International Council of Elders and the National Council of Elders; The Clergy from all over Kenya, the Evangelical Association of Kenya, Bible Society of Kenya, Kisumu Clergy Fellowship, Christian Women Fellowship, our many close friends from Kenya, Africa, the UK, Norway and USA. hundreds of your sons and daughters of faith, Kenyans of goodwill and the wonderful people of Kisumu and Ahero.

We acknowledge the support of his excellency the president of the republic of Kenya, Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta, The Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, The County Government of Kisumu; Governor Prof Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o and his Deputy Dr. Mathew Owili, Hon. MP for Nyando Jared Okelo and other dignitaries. Dr. Oluoch Olunya of Nairobi Hospital and Dr. Okel of Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu.

We appreciate the coordination of the National Funeral Committee headed by your bosom friend Bishop Erastus Kwaka, the support of your co-workers Bishop Gitonga and the entire RGC Ministry, Emeritus Bishop Boniface Adoyo, Bishop Oginde and CITAM ministries, Bishop Mark Kegohi, Bishop Kepher Omae, Dr. Wilson Mamboleo, Bishop Joshua Koyo of Kisumu Central Committee and Ramogi Radio Station.

Finally, to the International Communion of Charismatic Churches, led by Archbishop Dr. Kirby Clements (USA), Bishop Dr. Ladonna Osborn of IGC & OSFO (USA), Archbishop Dr. Margaret Idahosa of Church of God Missions International (Nigeria), Bishop Joel Thomas (Canada), who graced your home going and led us through the homilies, we are forever grateful.

As we learn to live without you we are encouraged everyday by your favorite Bible verse Hebrews 13:8- Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.

You fought a good fight, you finished your course, you kept the faith you have been crowned: Until we meet again, keep praising at the feet of Jesus. Amen! Shalom!
