Archdeacon Evanson Nyaga Marigu

We are grieved to announce the death of the General Secretary National Independent Church of Africa. Archdeacon Evanson Nyaga Marigu that occurred through road accident along Thika Super highway on Sunday evening 29th May 2022. The late Archdeacon Evanson Nyaga Marigu was born on 11/10/1984 at Gichiche sub-location, Gatitu Village.

He was a son of the late Sarah Marigu Kathungu. He was a loving husband to Ann Wambui and father of Stephen Mutugi Nyaga, John Mwangi Nyaga and Joseph Munene Nyaga. His siblings were salome Kanini, Beatrice Wawira, Robert Mugendi and Prisca Gitiri. His uncles were Cosmas Ndwiga Kathungu, Sammy Kathungu and Stephen Kathungu. His aunts were Gladys Kathungu, Edith Warue, Margaret Koru, Florence Njoki and Lucy Ndwiga.

He was cousin to Martin NJoka, Cosmas Munene, Abijah Wanja, Beatrice Wanja, Pauline Wawira, Breda Wambui, Sosten Munene among others. He was son in law to John Mwangi and Lucy Nyokabi of Tetu —Nyeri and brother in law to Gerald Gacigi, Peter Ngunjiri, Regina Wanjiru, Samuel Ndirangu, Grace Wairimu and Julius Maina.

He was ministering at NICA Kasarani Cathedral church and Synod office.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 5pm at Kasarani Church opposite I.C.I.P.E and at his Home village Cichiche, Runyenjes, Embu.

Memorial service will be held on 13th June 2022 at NICA Kasarani Cathedral Church from 10.00 am. Later burial Will follow on 10th June 2022 at his home Gatitu Gichiche village from 10.00 am.
