Benson Mbuvi Kathenge

We regret to announce the passing of Benson Mbuvi Kathenge, Director Geosite Systems Land Surveyors, Founder, CEO of Vermiculite Industries Ltd and formerly Senior Land Surveyor- Ministry of Roads & Public Works, Nairobi. Benson peacefulty passed away on 24th April 2023 while receiving treatment in Nairobi.

He was beloved husband to Nancy Gatumwa Mbuvi and proud father to Sandra and Ledama Sempele, Steve and Sally Kathenge, David Mutembei. Doting grandfather to Damian Mbuvi Kathenge and Suiyianka Suleiyman Ledama.

He was the loving son of the late Paul Kathenge Kisithe and the late Sarah Nanu Kathenge. Cherished son-in-law to the late David M’Baing’oni and the late Alice N M’Baing’oni.

Benson was a dear brother to Margaret O. Fruergaard, Johnson Kitheka, Boniface Nzilu, Phillip Kioko, Nelson Kiema, Fred Mbithi, Rachael Mwatu, and Juma Abdalla. His memory will be cherished by his esteemed cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and Family are invited for fund raising event, on Wednesday 3rd May, 2023 at All Saints Cathedral from 5:00pm- 8:00pm.

A memorial service in his honor will be held on Friday 5th May, 2023 at Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road from 2:00pm.

The cortege will leave Nairobi West Hospital Funeral Home on Saturday, 6th May, 2023 at 7:00am, Benson will be laid to rest at his rural home in Kisasi Sub-County, Kitui County.
