Benson Pyatich Chongorio

it is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that the Kenya National Association of Probation Officers announce the untimely demise of Benson Pyatich Chongorio which occurred at Moi Referral and Teaching Hospital Eldoret on 28th August 2022. Until his death. Benson was a senior probation officer and station manager West Pokot Sub-county Probation office. Other than the professional work, he provided instrumental leadership as a KNAPO official – North Rift Branch.

Benson was the beloved son of the late Pius Mengich Chongorio and Veronicah Cherotich Mengich of Mwotot Village, West Pokot County.

Husband to Christine Chemaklap Pyatich; father to Sheila Mmbone, Mitchelle Chelagat, Natasha Chepkemoi and Ryan Kibet.

He was brother to Lydia, the late Harrison, the late Cheptoo, the late Chesang, Geoffrey, Rosemary and Damaris.p Cousin to Julia, Night, the late Lydia, Pauline, John, Samuel and Dan.

The cortege of the late Benson will leave Crystal Cottage (Kitale) on Friday, 2nd September 2022 to St. Andrews Church Kapenguria for prayers, proceed for an overnight stay at his St. Mary’s home and finally be laid to rest at his farm at Keringet village (Miti Moja) on 3rd September 2022.
