Bernard Njoroge Gathua

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernard Njoroge Gathua (BENJO) which occurred on 12th May, 2022 after a short illness.

He was Son to the late Gathua Nduati and the late Hannah Nyandia, husband to Jacinta Nyambura Njoroge, father to Stephen Gathua, Josphat Mwangi, the late Samuel Kinyanjui, the late Kariuki Njoroge, Edward Mburu, Rose Wanjiru, Esther Waithera, Elizabeth Wambui and Veronica Njeri.

He was a brother to Clement Kinyanjui Gathua. Step-brother to the late Elizabeth Wambui, the late Winfred Nyokabi, the late Rebecca Wairimu, Gladwel Ngira, Mary Njeri, Joyce Wamuhu, the late Francis Kamande, Peter Njoroge, Elizabeth Wanjiru, the late Paul Gichuhi, Mary Wanjiku, Isaac Mburu and the late John Ngugi.

Son-in-law to the late Benjamin Mwangi Kariuki (Kimata) and the late Beatrice Waithera. He was a brother-in-law to Lucy Njeri Kamande, Maria Goreti Gichuhi, Joyce Nungari Kinyanjui, the late Njeri, Njoki, Ruguru, Kariuki and Wanjiku. Father-in-law to Susan Njeri, Irene Mwihaki, Sarah Muthoni, Joyce Njeri, David Kihoro and John Kavoi.

Dotting grandfather to Lewis, Lyanne, Othniel, Bernard, Jacinta, Mary, Doris, Moses, Emmanuel, Jacinta, Elvis, Alicia, Moses, Dilcon, Jenifer, Jayden, Vincent, Lydia and Joy.

Family and friends are meeting at Makongeni Phase 10 House No. 263 and Shuhan Hotel in Thika town starting from 6.00 p.m., daily for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa funeral home — Kabati on Friday, 27th May, 2022 at 8.00 am. The funeral service will be held at Naaro High School grounds. Burial will take place at Mathuri Village, Naaro Sub Location, Kandara Sub County, Muranga County.
