Bilha Njoki Maina

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we the family of the late Samuel Maina Gatonga announce the promotion to Glory of our mother Mrs. Bilha Njoki Maina, which occurred on Saturday 22nd April, 2023 at MP Shah Hospital – Nairobi. She hails from Gikoe Village, Njumbi, Mathioya, Murang’a County.

Wife to the late Samuel Maina Gatonga. Co-wife to Joanina Wanjliku.

Daughter to the late Mr. & Mrs. Benson Kanyuga. Sister to the late Douglas Chege, the late Abidah Wangeci, the late Rose Wanjiru, the late Zablon Kariuki, the late Herman Kagunda, the late Arthur Mwangi, among others.

Mother to John and Anne Kaguma, Charles and Grace Kanyuga, Stanley and Mary Kariuki, Francis and Phillian Chege, Joseph and Beth Macharia, James and Nellie Kihara, Dedan and Leah Muthaiga, Peter and Dorcas Makumi and the late Veronica Wangari. Step-mother to James Gatonga, Nancy Wangari, Rose Warau, Grace Nyambura, Gerald Muthui, Stanley Kariuki, Daniel Mwangi and Alice Njoki. Grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at All Saints Cathedral – Nairobi, from Tuesday 25th April, 2023 to Friday 213th April, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home at 8:00am on Tuesday 2nd May,2023. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday 2nd May, 2023 at St. Stephen A.C.K Church – Njumbi 10:00am. She will thereafter be laid to rest next to her late husband at the Njumbi Family Home, next to Njumbi High School.
