Bishop Fredrick Maengwe Matara

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Bishop Fredrick Maengwe Matara, of Nyairicha Village. He was a former Pastor of Busia Christian Community Centre (C.O.G), Mariakani Christian Centre (C.O.G), Getembe C.O.G and Ibeno C.O.G, Lecturer at Kima Theological College, Ibeno Bible College.

Son to the late Jason Matara Makaru and the late Ebisibah Kwamboka.

Husband to Nelia Nyanduko Ombati. Father to Adv. George Morara (UK), Reuben Barake (World Vision Kenya) Marion Nyabeta, David Moi, Ruth Nyabonyi and Evelyn Kemunto. Father-in-law to Sarah Okioi (UK), Nerea Kulecho, Phylis Mukolwe, Stevis Chora, Elijah lsaboke and Augustus Orito (USA).

Brother to Alice Moraa, the late Josephine Monchari, Jane Nyaera, Geoffrey Omburo, Bernard Onduko, the late Terrah Matara, Rose Manoti,Thomas Okero and Pauline Mary.

Step-brother to Eucabeth Moraa, Naomi Bisieri, Pauline Nyaboke, Samson Nyagwencha, Gladys Nyabeta, the late George Morara, acquiline Matara, Lydia Bosibori, Daniel Moi and Caleb Ocharo.

Grand father to, Gloria, Stacy, Precious, Daniel, Grant, Gareth, Graceaster, Shirley, Daniella, Leeroy, Lyric, Gracious, Ray, Leonel, Reina and the late Favour Blessed.

Memorial service will be held on 27th July, 2023 at Free Pentecostal Church – Nyamira, Nyamira Township, from 12:00 noon.

Burial service will be held on 28th July, 2023 from 9.00am at the same venue. The interment will be held at his home in Tente Village, Nyamira Township.
