Bishop Joseph Maina Karuga

It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden demise of Bishop Joseph Maina Karuga. Presbyterian Central Mission of Africa (Retired AC, AP former Administration Police, Chief Chaplain), which occurred on 8th March, 2021, following a short illness.

Son of the late John Karuga and the late Teresiah Njeri. Brother of Kimani Karuga. Beloved husband of Leah Wambui Maina.

Loving father of the late John Kamau, Nancy Njeri, Geoffrey Njuguna, Gabriel Kimani, Lucy Wanja and Jane Muthoni. Father-in-law of Veronicah, Ann, Florence, John and Sylvester.

Grandfather of Wambui,Wanjiku, Philip, Roseleah, Joseph Emmanuel, Urbie, Sharon, Charity, Maureen, Maina, John, Eric, Mercy, Agnes, Alex, Lorence, Martin, Patience and Grashanie. Great-grandfather of Chris and Joy.

Friends and relatives are meeting in Kipipiri, Miharati and Amity Hotel (Gilgit) for funeral arrangements starting 7:00pm.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home – Nakuru, at 9:00am on Tuesday 16th March, 2021 and proceed for the burial ceremony in Nyandarua County, Kipipiru Sub-county.
