Bishop Robert Maroa Mahiri Chacha, Hsc

(Born: 14 February 1938 – Died: 16 October 2019)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the family of Bishop Robert Maroa Mahiri Chacha announce his promotion to glory on 16th October 2019. He was the Presiding Bishop and National Leader of the Foursquare Gospel Church In Kenya. Bishop formerly served as a Senior State Counsel at the Attorney General’s Chambers.

Dear husband of Mama Flois Booke Mahiri. Father of Lilian Mahiri – Zaja (former Vice Chairperson IEBC), Valentine Robi (USA), Eng. Patrick Chacha, Surveyor David Wambura (UK), Pastor John Otemba, Wilfred Ndemo and Micheal Kemano (USA). Son-in-law of the late Rev Wallace Opunga and the late Mama Rodah Emali. Father-in -law of Dr. Zaja Omboga, the late Evans Onyango, Cynthia Akatsa, Lilian Kwoba, Alice Mbogori, Grace Marwa and Janet Otieno. Brother of the late Mwita, Joseph Magoiga, Rael Wambura, the late Esther Mwita, Elizabeth Munge, Paul, Chacha, the late Samson Wangubo, Daudi Marasiani, Julius Ochong’o, Pauline Nyaichowa, Nyanokwi, Thomas, Jane and Wilson. Grandfather of Samson Onyango, Ava Faith Wankio, Alvin Barake, Jeremy Mahiri, Melanie Weisiko, Ivan, Nigel, Emmy Robi, Jonathan Marwa, Bob Marna, William Wairia, Bhoke, Chris, Ethan, Roy, Wallace, Christian, Huey Marwa, Lily, Sylvianna. Great grandfather of Ziki and Apollo Zaja.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Buruburu Phase 2 House No. 320 Nairobi from 5-10pm.

Main Harambee- Thursday 31 Oct 2019 at All Saints Cathedral at the Kindergarten from 5-8pm Memorial

Service- Wednesday 6 Nov 2019 at the International Christian Centre, Mombasa Rd Nairobi starting 10:30 am

Burial ceremony- Friday 8 Nov 2019 at home Kebhare in Kuria East starting from 10am.
